Why Didn't Whitney Houston, Robyn and Silvia Reunite?

Lola I think you was head on with this one. I don’t blame Robyn or Silvia for not coming back into Whitney’s life. I feel they both found their peace and Whitney’s family didn’t approve of them and I agree other people may have been in Whitney’s ear as well. I feel like everything happens for a reason. I feel Robyn n Silvia will take stuff to their graves about Whitney cause they both loved her unconditionally!! When Robyn do interviews you can tell she still loves Whitney and is still trying to protect Whitney’s image and Robyn still has Nip’s best interest at heart to me.. I wish Robyn n Silvia nothing but PEACE, LOVE & HAPPINESS as long as they both shall live!!🙌🏽 Thank you Robyn for keeping Whitney going as long as you could behind the scenes!! I totally Agree with you on this! The HOUSTONS are da main reason Robyn and Silvia wasn't trying to go back into Whitney world! Plus Whitney did not want or just could NOT take ownership of her addiction! I know how hard it is to watch a LOVE ONE get lost in their addiction and you constantly try and help and until THEY TRULY WANT IT FOR THEMSELVES... I agree with you 100percent . I think the chaos that Still surrounded whitney is why a lot of her staff never came back . and some of her “friends “ kept their distance. Being around chaos wears you down especially when you get older and you start to know better . It’s gets real old real fast .

You're right about the part where you said some of her "friends" kept their distance. I noticed that Cece Winans was never really around Whitney like that. I think certain people didn't want to be associated with Whitney because of her troubles (and Bobby of course) I peeped also that you wouldn't see Dionne or Clive (he only wanted to be bothered when she was making him money) around her only at events and award shows for them to be first cousins they didn't really hang like that. I know Whitney was younger than Dionne though so that could've been it as well.

I think if Whitney was alive, She would have found a way to get reunited. There was too much confusion in her head. It's true that Whitney was stubborn and she had pride, but she wasn't resentful. Despite her addiction she was someone who needed time to do things, she was just waiting for the right time to talk to Silvia and Robyn, but sadly it never happens. 😔😔

Lola, commentary is on point! I'll just add, kids often learn certain behavior from their parents. Cissy has that ' I said what I said and I aint apologizing for nothin! ' thing about her. I believe her daughter got that from her. I also feel there was alot of shame and guilt on Whitney's part especially after she done defended Bobby for years. The Houston's (Cissy, Donna & Gary) and Bobby were not fans of Robyn & Sylvia, I believe they woulda discouraged her from reconnecting. The more time passes the harder it is to connect.....

Plus if Gary could publicly speak so angrily about Robyn in the documentary despite not seeing her for years, I can imagine what he said in private to Whitney. Gary and his wife were looking after her child so she may have wanted to appease him by not reconnecting with Robyn.

Saying she’s a nobody and how she wants her sister to get into something dirty (sleeping with another woman) Gary didn’t attend Whitney’s wedding cos he was in rehab, Gary and Donna’s comments triggered Robyn’s book IMO, the slander has gone on long enough. Sylvia supported Robyn book and provided the parts Robyn missed. Since then the Houston family are no longer mouthing off, Bobby is now fixated on a dead Nick Gordon. She really did shut shot down, and Clive doesn’t know Whitney’s personal life so I do t know how his movie will come out.

She’s out of the picture and he’s junky ass is still speaking ill about her, they were counting on Robyn being quiet cos she made a promise to Whitney, she wrote her book and shut them up for good. That documentary had a lot of editing, the Bodyguard said most of his part was cut off, Gary and Pat blind sided Whitney.

Yeah they would of reunited when Robyn left the company and etc she met Lisa and Whitney was still with Bobby right at the beginning when she left and then she divorced from Bobby in 2007 And I think she was just trying to heal from that situation first and for most because at the time of when she died she was healed she still wanted to be with Bobby she wanted to get him back

Only a real true friend would have done what Robyn did, wayyyyy back in the early 80s, when she saw Whitney's real desire to indulge in snorting cocaine, and decided to warn Cissy. Robyn realized that her & Whitney doing it together sometimes for recreation, had turned into Whitney liking to do it more often....even if by herself. Of all the ways that Robyn saw strength in her friend, she started to see that Whitney was obviously not too strong with abuse of this dangerous addiction. Over time, as Robyn tried multiple times to get Whitney to stop and get help, some of her family and takers $$$ around her was bucking against Robyn about it. So yes, of course, it was emotionally draining, heart wrenching, & overwhelming for Robyn, as she witnessed on a daily basis, her friend & the woman she loved, self destruct.....w/o any signs of hope! Oh my gosh, I can't imagine that pain. I truly hate what happen to Whitney, and all the negativity she endured.....but I always felt so terribly sad for Robyn as well. She was truly the one....and the only person Whitney needed at that time. Robyn could have kept Whitnet on a straight & narrow, all while continuing success, all by her damn self. But unfortunately Whitney felt family was everything at that time in her life. But sadly, they proved not to 'be everything'....but wanted everything she had......Robyn saw that too....🤭

When Robyn started traveling with Whitney and being her assistant and all that, Robyn wasn't getting high with her anymore, she was more focused on watching over Whitney and tryna keep things intact around her. Remember, it came a point when Robyn would rarely see Whitney once Bobby came in the pic, because Whitney & Bobby would isolate themselves from everybody. Whitney spent a lot of her time cooped up in her suite with her husband......when she wasn't on the road touring & performing. The whole situation was disheartening.

Somebody had to keep a clear mind during that time before she left Nippy, Inc.....and that somebody was Robyn. I believe she left because she was devastated, overwhelmed, & heartbroken with Whitney's drug behaviors....and Bobby's nasty attitude, behaviors, & the way he was treating Whitney. I think Robyn needed therapy from all that shit! It had taken it's toll on her. And it didn't help that she was still in love with Whitney.....she hung in there that long, hoping & waiting for a change.....but finally realized that it wasn't gonna happen.....so she needed to move on with her life, so not to waste anymore of it. She needed to find her own life. And she did. And yes, all that would have called for therapy......before getting totally involved with her current partner.

And then ultimately her addiction took over, after 2000 everything was downhill. Robyn lost her whole immediate family and still struggling to take care of her ill sister, I believe Robyn knew Whitney was never coming back from the drugs IMO, Sylvia was getting harassed sexually by Bobby and Bobby got her fired when he couldn’t get her, she had no choice but to sue, Whitney let her family especially Bobby disrespect these two women and when they left the family really saw Bobby for what he was.

I used to wish that Whitney and Robyn would reconnect. Your right after 2000, Whitney was never the same. Verbal abuse is just as dangerous as physical abuse. Her family had to notice that Whitney's wasn't the same after Robyn left. Bobby noticed it years later. The damage was done and it was to painful for them to reconnect.

This is excellent Miss Lola....you hit everything on the spot.....your opinions in this topic are my sentiments, exactly!💯👌The only thing that I could add to this, in my opinion, is this: that woman simply needed peace......a peace of mind, & peace from herself!💔 There were just wayyyy too many battles going on in that pretty little head of hers.....along with her controlling family & people on her team constantly in her ear and her head. It seems that the only decision she was able to make for her damnself was who she fell in love with and married! I think she definity had love for Robin, but cared for Silvia for who she was in her life, by her side....for as long as it lasted.(protector, confidant, caregiver). Sadly, Whitney didn't get the chance to straighten out a lot of things that she wanted to change & improve in her life. She started with the divorce....she was walking on edge trying to get back on a level surface, with her music, mother-daughter relationship, total sobriety, etc....she was tired and getting older......It's possible she would have eventually acknowledged certain things that occurred, had her life not been cut short. Ughhh.......stills frustrates me & hurt to the core, just saying it....😟💔....but yes, I can see your views and totally agree!👌

Sad that these people had so much disdain for Robyn mostly and Sylvia. I f wasn't for Robyn sacrificing and handling business non of them would have been able to enjoy the fruit of Whitney's labor it seems. I thought a lot about these stories today that you and others do and I concluded that it took over 16 yes if the hard work of Robyn and Whitney for Whitney's career to reach the status it did. I don't care if they were lovers or not. A lot of work work went into building that career Not just work but sacrifice! And the thanks Robyn gets us Whitney's brother calling her a nobody and a freeloader Honestly I wish ( if Whitney is really gone ) that her estate went to Robyn if something happened to BC with stipulations to make sure her mother was well taken care of as well as if her brothers needed something depending on what it was that she would make sure it was done. Whitney's brothers nor husband invested in her what Robyn did. I believe she would have done what was right for everyone regardless of how she felt. She just strikes me as a person like that. But what took 16+ yrs to build only took those rascals half the time to destroy it. Robyn was good at thinking on her toes and was basically pulling rabbits out of hats to secure Whitney's career and legacy. If anything these ungrateful folks should be thanking her. I hope to one day meet her if not just see her. Because I will see a woman that created a superstar. Whitney's mother prepared her for it as far as the singing but it looks to me that Robyn did the work of making it work and keeping it together.

She described her relationship with Whitney that started out physical when they were young and then as 2 women with a bond that last for years which is true. Not an obsession because Robyn cared for her friend and saw how Whitney spiraled from drug use after she married Bobby. I’m sure she was scared for her friend but in the end Whitney let the drugs cause her to lose someone who always had her back and best interest. Robyn walked away and is now happily married with her wife and 2 beautiful kids. For all the homophobia the Houston’s and Brown’s threw at her… seems Robyn is the only one truly blessed.
