She knew (or should have known) of the degree of devotion and loyalty Abhi had and continues to have for his parents. The entire world knew Abhi would never want to or agree to live separately from his parents. He has always declared that in all his interviews. The Bachchans never did (and still don’t) need Aish. Aish needed the stability, prestige and security of the Bachchans. Aish is supposed to be so smart, intelligent, worldly, a global star. Yet she wasn’t intelligent enough to know how to adjust with her mother in law and sister in law in a joint family? What kind of a daughter in law was she? The Bachchans have never changed their value system. It is Aish who changed. If you marry into a joint family knowingly, you don’t get to change your mind and then force your husband to live separately from his elderly aging agents whenever you don’t feel like it!! You stick it out in good times and bad. Isn’t that the promise she made during the marriage ceremony in front of Gods and the entire world? So how is it ok for Aish to renege on her marital vows?
