Why are billionaires involved in these conferences? Billionaires have shown multiple times to take advantage of their workers & not care about the harmful impacts they have on the environment. If anyone should have a say on the climate it should not be billionaires who have proved to only care about profit, but politicians, environmentalists, or other people who have advocated for the well-being of the climate their whole life.

It's not about "swag" or people being selfish, it's about economics. - 99% of people cannot afford a Tesla, and they sure as fuck can't afford to drop thousands of dollars every few years to replace the batteries. - Solar is only viable in places with over 300 sunny days a year, and until recently took more energy and pollution to produce then they saved in their lifetime. - Wind is the biggest joke of all. Extremely unreliable due to dependence of weather, not viable in areas that experience freezing during any part of the year, very expensive and environmentally unfriendly to produce, require frequent replacement of blades which are mostly not recyclable, destroy flocks of birds, take up massive areas of land, and their energy output is a joke. Meanwhile, nuclear power is by far the most efficient source of energy, and per watt, the cleanest source. Even if you take into account all the disasters of outdated designs that have been massively improved over the years, nuclear has still caused less environmental damage and loss of human life *per watt of energy produced* than any other energy source. But the "green" activists fight against it. The same activist that fly around on their private jets, enjoy extravagant parties and feasts, while they want to tax us for commuting to work, for eating meat, for using an air-conditioner in the summer, etc. It's all hypocrisy and ignorance.

If you own a Tesla you can afford the small charge cost The charge cost is nothing compared to gas prices especially with Gas Prices these days But biggest problem is Electric Cars are expensive and if they're cheap they're a POS what only go like 300miles at 30mph

the nuances of why Steve example is wrong is that even if the resources is coming from coal, the transition of coal to energy isn't uniform. Think of container ship, though the size may make it look like they guzzle fuel but they are consider one of the most fuel effecient machine on earth. So when Steve say coal, those plants are being economically effecient as possible relative to the cars on the street, also conventional cars on average are kept at 12 years.

long distance electric cars might not even become a thing like that. they're just gonna work on quick charging, put stations everywhere. Eventually there will just be those electric roads that charge your car while it drives on it. all nice and comfy but also can get kind of dystopian if you can only drive where the govt built roads take u and they can just power down all traffic, plus cars are all constantly tracked etc

When you have a guest/s on, let them talk more. What's the point having a guest/s on, when regulars just talk the most.
