Why Do Calls To My Android Go Straight To Voicemail?

None of these suggestions worked for me on a relatively new Samsung Galaxy. After spending over 2 hours with T-Mobile tech support, I sorted it out on my own. If I have Wi-FI Calling turned on, calls go directly into voicemail. If I have it turned off, the mobile rings. Not sure if there's a remedy to this, but I guess from now on, I'll leave Wi-Fi Calling off.

I tried leaving wi fi off and didn't work for me. Still go to voicemail without ringing!

Strange... I have never had calls going to voicemail. I wish they would!

Yes!!! That was my problem!!! I turned off Wi-Fi Calling and I can now receive calls again without it forwarding to Voice Mail!

I have to comment on how great this tutorial is. I LOVE how you don't waste time by chatting about the problem for 5 minutes first but instead go right to your 5 suggestions. The instructions are very clear and concise and easy to follow. Your excellent graphics helped too. I subscribed. Thank you so much for this I'm going to start troubleshooting now. P.s. have you ever heard of any issues when phones have a call recorder app installed?

Random calls go straight to voicemail. There is no rhyme or reason why I can receive a call from Adam 1 minute but his next call goes straight to vm. Its maddening!!!

thank you. My building buzzer system was going straight to voicemail and when i tried calling my stupid cell from my home number it did the same thing....i had on caller id and spam protection feature. So it just blocks every number???

Thank you...samsung said it updated it's voicemail platform and somehow it made ALL my calls go straight to voicemail, fixed now thx to you to check call forwarding 👍

FYI i tried most of these and had no luck But then I turned aeroplane mode on and then off and it fixed the problem so frustratingly easy 😊

why do my blocked calls go to voicemail? I want my do not disturbed on because I only want to recieve calls in my address books, yet I'm receiving voicemails from numbers that I've blocked. Why is this?

My friends number is being blocked bit shows not blocked.when I went in and did as you said her number is not on the list.when I miss her call as always it says blocked but shows not blocked.wth?

All incoming calls are going straight to voicemail - only when im at home on wifi. I can call out just fine, and receive calls when im away from home and using data. Verizon has no clue whats going on and neither does my internet provider (actually, they blame each other). It used to work - now it doesn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated - ive done all the steps in this video multiple times. Galaxy Note 4

Same...the tech said this is common with samsung+tmobile and now that verizon was acquired by tmobile, in his words, "verizon has now inherited the cancer." I still have the problem.. please help!

My shitty tmobile has the same issue and it's gong on days. Not sure if or when they will be able to fix it. I mean I guess I can change to another carrier but what if it does the same thing? I am a Samsung phone.

Is your wifi calling on at home on wifi? Should be in settings. If its on turn off and try again.

Just saying that I've been calling someone alot because I'm worried they are not answering, for some reason when I call the first time it brings me to their voicemail, and then I call again and it's ringing. I tried calling the same person on different phones and it does the same thing, and now it would bring me to their voicemail everytime, does anyone know what it means?

They set you to go straight to voicemail because they don't want to talk to you, You are calling them too often😂

Interesting ATT won't even show you the coverage map! It tells you to check then it routes you to new phones, they don't even have prices for plans 🤣 the more you know.

Are you blocking your number info from going out (private mode)? Some people have their phones set to put all private calls coming in to voicemail.

If your phone is on aeroplane mode, this will happen. Switch it off. Simple.

Why do these videos always assume that people are insanely stupid? If any of these fixes work it's simply because the person is an idiot. Most people are smart enough not to cripple their own phone on purpose and not know what's wrong with it.

It may be that you haven't given the app "allow" permissions to use your phone. Settings -> Apps -> Voice -> Allow Phone, Contacts, Call Logs etc.
