Thanks for the video. Just want to ask you sth. About dentritic growth you say the tip is going to melt. What ı don't understand is if liquid's temperature can melt the solid why does it melt only the tip? İsn't is supposed to melt whole solid? From the cambridge web site it says the rate of solidification of tip lowers so it is caught up. İs it still okay to say the tip melts?

unfortunately, that's not the real phenomenon or mechanism observed in alloys, where although having a positive thermal gradient led to the formation of dendrites. addition of this small note would be useful for material science and engineering students. thanks a lot
