Why do devs hate no-code?

Anytime I talk about no code or low code platforms and solutions I get so much hate but hear me out here...

the real reason developers dont like these nocode tools is because they are replaing them. the problem is any random person spends just a month learning these tools and become able to compete with a junior deveoper.

I'm a programmer whose company has slowly transitioned to codeless. So far, these platforms haven't replaced me, I'm still employed and I'm still a programmer. My job is to convert a client's idea into something the computer can understand. Before codeless, I could use code - I could literally just talk to the computer. Codeless comes along and puts up a sound proof window between me and the computer. It's like playing charades now, trying to communicate complicated logic through mime signals. Codeless stole my voice.

Just started to learn how to code (three weeks into Python). What is the difference between the evolution from low-level to high-level languages (Python, JS, etc) and moving from intensive to low/no code in the future? I am into this because of AI, so I want to learn how things learn under the hood so I can build or have someone else build something I can monetize. However, I keep hearing from the AI experts they expect we'll be able to use plain-spoken/written English (or language of your choice) and AI will know to program whatever it is we are asking for. I love what I am learning because it has forced me to think in ways I didn't before and I won't stop but I'm not going to hold my breath for a long career as a hired programmer. On my end, I would love to see low-code and no-code from you so long as you explain what is happening under the hood.

Still into codeing after 5 Months? Low-Level is without much abstraction and closer to the bare metal. Back in the days where I was a studend I learned with another nerd assembly and BASIC (our teacher was to stupid for assembly) I remember for one procject we stole two old sewing machines for the pedals we needed to build a car simulator. You can if you understand the logic of the controller reuse everything for basicly everything. Thats the power of Low-Code. Nowadays you don't need to worry about all the problems of the 90s.

Hi, I`m a total novice, no nothing, about code and no code as I`m new to this thing that came to me by loading the Microsoft 365 developer program as the Office I had on my laptop crashed. I had to load another as the product key was not with me but the guy installing windows for me. This guy moved away and I had to help myself. Then the Microsoft developer program started sending me emails and that got me really interested in the program. But I have no clue how to start learning and with your emails, I thought to reach out to you. Maybe you can tutor me on this.

See and that's the thing, most developer code just to code. They don't actually care about the end product, or the business behind it. "No code" is seen as a threat to their livelihood in the same way AI kind of is. It's kind of like telling a Mathematician that I can solve their algorithm with a calculator. (Okay I finished the video, and you pretty much nailed it)

This depends on your audience. You seem to be instructing software engineers and developers who will eventually work at companies that create these no-code solutions. The next generation of developers needs to grasp the fundamentals; they don't need to cut every possible corner, cheating themselves out of a meaningful education. While we utilize numerous no-code tools in my workplace, that's not what we engineers use on a daily basis. We must focus on creating systems and establishing guardrails for edge cases within our apps. No and low code are remarkable, but if you're seeking feedback on why your audience doesn't support it, it's because they feel they won't be paid for knowing how to use low code (at least the higher salary jobs). We're paid to know how to communicate and build on top of existing code architectures. However, please keep pushing the low-code solutions because startups will be heavily relying on these - but remind folk that they need the fundamentals so they can operate at a faster level with these new tools such as LLMS (knowing how to interface with AI to get solid code)

NoCode Tools are created for features that are used frequently enough but also time consuming to implement. But it is misinterpreted by a lot of people devoted to coding that as if its like a moral sin. I try to use the least amount of libraries when learning to code but I would always use stable libraries or tools in development since time is money.

the reason for this . the developer who love coding (as a life career ) and try hard to add new skills that take him month to learn. and in the end he get chocked ,that the hard thing he good at it ,the junior developer Solve it like a breez. that's way they don't like it, they don't accept the reality (etc AI) , he think the massive amount of work that he done it like doesn't make any sense nowadays.
