I think they are so popular as a duo since they literally almost have complete opposite personalities but they click so well together, and they still live together all these years. They are not obvious per first or second glance, but as a carat really, you will start to notice that they know each other the most, as they are roomates for the longest time till now.

Honestly the title describes what I sometimes think as well. They're not my ultimate favorite duo but somehow, when I start watching them, I can't get enough? Well... I love Wonwoo also together with Hoshi or others of the 96 line and of course his Dino. A special place will always be reserved for his rare interactions with seungkwan though, they make me so soft, it's the cutest. Mingyu I basically ship with everyone now, he's that big cuddly puppy who just goes around from member to member...

@@sabrina.yaputama I would describe them like this: A nerdy, shy, quiet, introvert (Wonwoo predebut and a few years after) meets an outgoing, confident, loud extrovert (mingyu). Mingyu helps him get spotlight, cares for him, notices him, is with him always also because they're in the same subunit (hip-hop). Wonwoo is really grateful for that but with time I feel like Wonwoo has really come out of his shell. He's still quiet but he speaks up whenever he wants to and I don't think he's that shy anymore. He's grown confident, build a big fanbase around himself and seems to have shifted into someone Mingyu can lean onto from time to time. There's this big familiarity through sharing rooms and living together, they just work. Only very little teasing and mostly subtle moments. Wonwoo even sometimes defends Mingyu when he's getting "bullied" by seventeen members, because sometimes they are really harsh to each other and Wonwoo is loving like that
