Money would be the common denominator and many provides reasons as their perspectives. I married to Phillipine too as outsider. I at first experienced this as its a strong force that drive women from this country but lately conditioning my wife to come out of that ridiculous cycle and influence her to look to a broader perspectives what the life would bring to the (our) lives. She then realized the potentials. Its about money=yes and its also about fortune love=yes. Generally, all women in the world needs security and as men we need to strongly maintain this standard by providing it to them in a good way!

it is not just the women in the Philippines but it is woman worldwide who look for a sense of security even here in the United States when I hear some black women get mad at some of us black men for dating outside of their race ...they always say that the non black woman are only out for the money when they themselves show the same characteristics and I have yet to see an American woman chase after a broke guy with no money so it is a phenomenon worldwide... women just want security. *From what I have encountered in their country, it can be a mix of things. Yes it's true, some just want a more stable life which is fair. Because Foreigners are known to have stable jobs and want to work. Unlike the men these ladies may have dated in the past who just get them pregnant then leave them for another girl. And have no sense of commitment. I'm not saying all men are like that.. but this seems to be the driving factor of why they want a foreigner. And then of course we can move onto the other reason.. They like the facial features of the white men, light skin (because for some reason.. Filipinas want light-skinned childrend), they like the pointed nose of men.. and the slim face and cheekbones. I'm Arab (Saudi to be precise) and never been to the Philippines before despite the fact we're having plenty of Filipino expats working in our country and I fairly enough know how friendly and pleasant they really are (males & females), however, I've never mingled nor approached any of the Filipinas to tell how they think of Arab guys in general. I'd also like to know their preferences regarding physical traits. The only time I approached a Filipina was a year ago somewhere abroad and strangely enough I was treated meanly. The most important question and procedure still remains how to shape life with a young filipina later in retirement, so that she is safe and can feel good without being reminded of the life of other Filipinos or of the life of the past. She has to learn to manage her spouse's or friend's pension every month on an ongoing basis. Because a foreigner has a monthly pension that Filipina only knows from rich Filipinas in this form. There is no such thing in the provinces.

All the comments from people who say it's about money are too Americanized. In the US, no young woman would go for an older guy unless there was money involved. But the Philippines have different values. I have found that about half of the girls/women on the online dating sites are after money. Most of them I talked to live in the cities (Manila and surrounding area, Cebu and Davao), have had a pretty hard life, and they will ask you for money within 2 days of talking to them. So, they are pretty easy to weed out. The rest are usually from the provinces. In the provinces, no one is starving because you drop a line in the water or look up in the trees and there is food. The cost of living can be literally zero in the provinces, and almost all province girls I've talked to are quite happy. But we all know 3s date 3s and 9s date 9s (scale of 1 to 10 on looks), and the Philippines is no different. But Filipinas LOVE Hollywood and they love the big actors, who are mostly white. So, if you are white, add 5 to your looks. Also, dark skin is considered ugly. You can see many shades of Filipinas. If they are dark, they would subtract 4 from their looks. I'm about a 4 in the US. I'm in good shape (martial arts), but I'm 53 and bald. But in the Philippines, my white skin makes me a 9, and I'm not exaggerating. My wife doesn't want me to go to town alone because even high school girls will smile at me. My wife's 3 year old cousin calls me Mr. Gwapo (Mr Handsome), which she probably gets from her smoking hot 19 year old mother. My wife, OTOH, is 25 and is a smoking hot 9 when she rolls out of bed and a perfect 10 when she gets dressed up and smiles (my goodness, her smile melts me), but she's dark skinned, so she sees herself as a (9-4=) 5 or 6. What she wants from me is (1) loyalty - no cheating, (2) kindness and patience - no beating her, and (3) stability - yes, this means money too, but enough to support the house is enough for her. Filipino men have a lot of trouble with those 3 things. Foreigners are presumed to be much better on that list. So, to her, she is a 6 married to a loyal, kind, stable 9, so she thinks she won the relationship lottery. For me, I'm a 4 married to a smoking hot 10, so I think I won the relationship lottery. The sex is amazing and often and she initiates more than I do. Neither of us see an age gap between us, despite our nearly 30 years difference. Life is amazing. If you take some time to find a sweet girl from the provinces, you too can win the lottery.

She never had a boyfriend before me, she is a college graduate, I am her first relationship and her first man. Thanks Chris for looking me and Chuck up, means you are curious about other men's success and you might learn something from looking up us successful men, good luck to you as I know you must be struggling to find a girl. My advice to you and a lot of men who can't nail a cute girl. Stop being a selfish bastard and grow a set. I am so glad that you think I am a fat ugly guy, which is a compliment from a guy I would find it weird if you said I was cute I really prefer girls to compliment my good looks versus a man, all my friends thinks my girl is cute also nothing new there but thanks anyways. If you have a sweet personality and you have game and can support a woman then you are a contender, but it is not a guarantee. Seattle has lots of girls, dated lots of girls here for sure easy place to get laid but I am Asian so I like Asian girls and ninety percent of my friends are Filipino, nice people and great culture and beautiful women. because of the money that they imagine that white people have. but sorry to dissapoint you we do not have large savings or a big house and you have to remember that everything is 20 times more expensive in our countries. that means in short: there is not enough money to support both a family in the western world and a family in the philippines.... period ! just saying the truth even if it is hard to understand that live is hard over seas too.
