A friend and I climbed Fuji-san in the late fall of 1975. we brought a tent and sleeping bags and camped overnight on the top. The weather closed in and we couldn’t see anything, including the path down, so we ended up coming down the “back side” - no path, no people, but the clouds were so thick you could literally let them land your your arm like a falcon. It is an experience I still treasure.
I know too many comments, but your video work is SO beautiful, and the content is AMAZING! Just like Tokyo Lens... So glad I found your channel. With Cystic Fibrosis... will I live long enough to see Japan again? not sure, but I will surely try. Times right now are not right, but I have lived life in the face of advercity, and will do it for years to come. I hope to help spread the beauty of that country to my friends. Such an amazing place.

I've been to Hakone and Kawaguchiko for a 3 day trip, there was thick fog the first day, even worst than what you had, second was cloudy and no mountain. In the morning of the third day it was visible through the cloud and only a good view in the afternoon. It's really a shy mountain. Also, there is different words used to say "shrine" inside of shrine names, most would have the one of the kanji of jinja (神社), for example taisha 大社 or jingu 神宮

I was there from December 2019 till March 2020 (had to go home because of the virus.) It's a nice and quiet place. A lot of parks to relax in, restaurants everywhere, and of course, waking up everyday and seeing Mt. Fuji up close. I'm in Aeon whenever I got bored doing some shopping and starbucks and Big day when buying groceries. That temple she went in during sunny days have lots of ducks and pigeons that my niece loves to scare away. You should've went and see Shiraito Falls, those stairs will be the death of me, and also Lake Tanuki, a nice place for taking a walk to relax.

While being in the bullet train, I was watching a video about Mt. Fuji. That most tourist never see it. But when I stepped out of the train, I could see the whole mountain. A typhoon had hit Japan while I was traveling and because of the typhoon, all the snow and clouds were gone! It was awesome to see! Next day I rented a bike and headed towards a good vantage point to get a good look at Mt. Fuji, still got it as my wallpaper!

Hello ! Next year, I'm thinking about doing a gap year in Japan (Tokyo) for around 5 months to learn Japanese. I will be in a school ( lsl language school) and will live with a family. I don't know anybody who has already lived in Japan and I was wondering if anyone had advices or even if you think it's a good idea (or not). Once I inscrive myself I will have to stay for 5 months ( I can't go home if I don't like it) so I'm a bit nervous about that. I'm also wondering if maybe my expectations are too high..anyway if anyone could answer thanks a lot !! 🤗
