@yo_eddie25764 жыл бұрын
@@ZombieGaming212 It's been 14 years since I had that car so I'm guessing it's hard to find any of these in decent condition these days. Mine always had overheating issues (which I hear is common) and it was a pain to work on as the engine bay is notoriously cluttered and not a lot of room to maneuver. It was scary to drive in the rain too because the tail would slide out pretty easily if I took a turn too hard haha. With that said, I would still go through all that again. Great memories cramming mates into that thing and going to parties or just cruising. Some of the happiest memories I've had in my life were around the time I owned a z32.

Ha! Im on my 4th z32 tt! Theyre timesless. Stock they're a bit slower than the 3000GT VR4 / Supra TT, but thyre easily upgraded and become giant killers. Timeless beauty, and out of the 4, theyre the best all around by far imo. I own 2, a stock 91 and my modded 95. Yours is beautiful !

The VG... Pain in ass engine. I'm a fellow Z enthusiast, I've owned every US trim level and configuration of the Z32. But the VG Nissan v6 definitely is not my favorite. It big, heavy, complex, hard to work on, has many things that should have been factory corrected or just plain should have been deleted, they are expensive to maintain, and they don't make power as easily as some of the Z's competition did. It takes a very dedicated or (in most cases) crazy person to be a true Z32 enthusiast. We can admit and correct it's faults while still Loving the car even though it destroys our bank accounts lol.

My reasons are its rare as fuck where i live buffalo ny, its a forgotten japanese icon. The technology in the car was ahead of its time, twin turbo, unique look, OWNED in racing short but very successful racing history, removable t-top roof comes standard

Nice z32. Like most car enthusiasts say, the z32 is a timeless beauty that still turns heads 34 years later. The fact that it's economical to boost & maintain much higher horse power than standard, just makes the experience more exciting. When cruising, you don't need to have ridiculous power to enjoy the drive as even the std TT comes alive when you push the motor. When car lovers look at my z32 2+2 TT, they have no idea how much power my baby has waiting to be unleashed (ha-ha) ........ which just adds to the mystique surrounding her.

headlights are glass which are not allowed on newer cars. but for some reasons manufacturers are making the cars bigger for some reason, maybe safety but to me they just look bloated. That's why I prefer the 300 over the 350z.

I was a little older. I worked at a grocery store, and I spent more time than I probably should have in the magazine aisle, reading car magazines, but I somehow missed the car in the magazines. To this day, I have no idea how that happened. I was walking through a parking lot once day, and I saw the back end of one of these sticking out of a parking spot. I thought it was a Ferrari or something like that. Just one of the best designs of a mass market vehicle of all time, in my opinion, both at the time and even to this day.

@jerryryan366 жыл бұрын
Shaggy Mason I own a 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo and maybe some people would disagree with me but they are very reliable when you replace the parts that need to be replaced, after all it is a very old car so many parts do you need to be replaced but once you do they last forever if you don't hot rod it constantly

Medium. Kept my '91 for 20 years. Like all older cars they have a few trouble spots, particularly after 100k. But they were pretty well built and fairly reliable if well maintained. When things do go wrong, they might hit your wallet hard. Some mechanics refuse to work on them because of the tightness of the engine bay, esp. theTT.

I wanted to import one from Japan. Some have low kms and look very, very nice in the pictures but I'm thinking about the risks of doing something like that (not seeing the car, underlying mechanical problems, etc). Would any of you recommend or have experience buying oversees? Or should I just stick to a LHD sold locally. It's just there are such nice cars for sale from Japan and I'd love a RHD.
@AttheApex4 жыл бұрын
CodCats I don’t have any experience with JDM Zs. I would say given the cars age it’s hard to truly know if anything is legitimately that pristine unless the record keeping is trustable like car fax is in the US. I remember in the early 2000s hearing and seeing lots of examples.
@brianheiden66236 жыл бұрын
It was actually two IMSA drivers championships and two IMSA manufactures championships, there was never a threat to ban it though you have to win way more than that. I love the car more than anything out there that I can afford but the datsun 240z and 280z's won quite a bit more than the 300zx did. 97 scca victories absolutely incredible! The z32 is more of a grand touring car unless you really drop some weight out of it. Can be a real beast dont get me wrong I have 582whp on 116 race fuel, the thing is a monster! It is a jJapanese icon and well respected hear in the states, had mine 17 years, first car was a 77 280z. My uncle owned a Nissan dealership before passing away so i used to drive these things brand new off the lot. Tons of fun back then, this kind of power was unheard of at the time. As for the Z comunity they can be your best friend or worst nightmare lol.

Brian Heiden Great information, thanks! Sounds like Z cars have been an integral part of your life. We are aficionados. I owned my first one back 2003, loved at the time that power was unheard of at the price point. Please continue to tune-in and provide feedback, more Z and non-content is coming.

Which one is better tho in the long run the NA or the TT?
@billmcdonald24455 жыл бұрын
Depends on perspective and your need for speed. The NA is fast enough for most, the TT ridiculous, but harder and more expensive to work on. Both are appreciating, but the TT is appreciating much faster than the NA, thus its the better investment. If you want a great driver, fewer headaches and cruising is more important than racing, the NA is a great car. Mine was a keeper for 20 years.

its awesome, its awesome looking its awesome driving, there mod list is endless, the VG is amazing, its an awesome design and basically an under rated machine, but as far as mechanical work goes, this car will make you want to blow your brains out for something as simple as changing your thermostat, and changing out your turbos requires you to remove your engine.
