Afternoon Rodger and Ismi, yes I agree condoms to reduce the amount of pleasure you feel however having a lot of single young mums without husbands struggling to feed themselves is a far worse outcome than reducing the sensation you feel during intercourse. My preference would be my partner being on the pill but I know that is frowned upon in the Philippines especially if you are Catholic. So good that in most European countries students learn everything at grade 4 and 5 at school. You can see many children under the age of 10 seeing playing with condoms and inside water. It's good, they are not shy to buy them . and here, if you want to get the pill you need to go to the doctor first because every pill is different. Is the pill for a small 12 year old girl who wants to get away the pimples from her face? Or is it for a 35 year old woman with 100 kg? Different amounts of hormones are needed. So there are different kind of pills even from the same manufacturer.

One advantage of condoms is it helps the man to last longer. What do condoms cost in the Philippines? Here the cheapest is about 30 cents each... about 12 pesos. And are different sizes of condoms available? What does the pill cost there? And does the government supply anything free or at a discount?

$2 and up. For the pills there are free pills provided by the government but has a lot side effects. The most cheapest one it cost less then a $1 but again there a lot of side effects

I really believe in condoms over pills until you've had a complete screening for stds and you only have one partner. A really good friend was dating someone and they used condoms for the 1st few months. About a month after they stopped the partner wasn't feeling well, when to the Doctor and found out they were HIV positive. They learned the infection came from the person one had dated just prior to their relationship so there were no signs.

Well, normally you should make an HIV rest before making love. In Austria it's for free and also in most other countries I know it costs only a few Euros/Dollars/Pesos. It's worth to spend that little bit of money before getting together. And there is not only HIV but also Hep C included if you ask the doctor.

The reasons give are universal. The percentages using contraceptive be it pill or condom are higher in the UK because it is more affordable or free. However the embarrassment and lack of sensation depending on the type used is the same ao the problems are similiar but less severe due to affordability etc.

He was shocked and refused to have intercourse! He was shocked that they'd put out like that without any protection...and when he later found out that his masseuse partners were single mothers with four kids apiece well...there's your result of unprotected sex. Roger/ismi I like Rogers honest feedback on why he like most Filipino men don't like using a Condom. It's a valid point and it has always been an issue for men. Lambskin Condoms do allow the man to feel the friction much more than any other kind of Contraceptive. That said more of us do need to use it more to curtail unwanted consequences such as unplanned pregnancies and STDs. The major issue for a Catholic country like the Philippines is the huge unchecked population growth fueled by the Church's position.

Also, It costs money to use condoms or pills and most just can't afford it there even if they wanted to use them. Perhaps they should give out condoms for free since the public is going to have sex anyways, for the most part. Lastly, when you are about to make love, you just want it right then and the passion takes over in some cases. Right now the Philippines is fighting a losing battle when it comes to pregnancy and unwed mothers. This should be a point of recognition for those running for the next President of your country.

The birth control pill has some VERY SERIOUS drawbacks that are often minimized. First, many women who take it long-term have difficulties getting pregnant when they go off the pill. Second, their are some cardiovascular side effects that can be pretty nasty to a small percentage of the women taking the pill. And the cost in many countries is far beyond what the average family can afford. My father always told us that having three children was the most effective form of birth control. (g)

Yes the big problem is the girl is too young to have sex and make a baby without thinking about how to support the children. Then boyfriend moves on to another girl for sex and probably doesn't make enough money to even support himself much less children. Then girl is stuck with trying to support the children on her own with little money. Condoms do take away most of the pleasure of sex as they are clumsy and take away from enjoyment of sex.

To be honest, I am not flattered by the teaching coming from any church telling it’s members that using protection is against God’s will or that it’s not allowed. It is even known that it was used back in the days to make the church grow in amount of members. Pastors even visit the members who didn’t gave birth for long time to encourage getting children. Really, it’s not the business of any church to get involved in such personal matters and I can back it up. They even add a burden to their members and God will ask accountability to them in due time. First of, you are not killing any living being, instead you avoid it happening. Sure, once fertilization took place we can’t undo it as that would be like committing a murder. But not anywhere in the Bible, not Jesus or any other prophet you can read anything about using contraceptives to avoid fertilization. And how would you qualify the drawback method then? Some churches would use the famous scriptures in this particular topic to backup there false teaching. Namely: “Genesis 9:7 As for you, be fruitful and become many, and increase abundantly on the earth and multiply.” And those were instructions to Noah and his family (and in extent to all mankind) as soon they came out of the ark and had to start over. They were the only ones left on earth. And like mentioned in Genesis 1:28, it was God’s purpose that we “….. fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving on the earth.” You think we had to do that as fast as possible and we should get as many kids as possible or else take away our sexual needs/pleasure with our partner if we don’t want or are not capable to raise children? Nah, we are with many and everyone has there own capabilities. Anyone telling another person to not have sex while they are married to avoid getting children or else not to use contraceptives is causing unneeded burden. Is simply not giving the right advice. Instead they should take note that such decisions are personal and should not be interfered with. They should take note of what has been said in Romans 14:12 “So then, each of us will render an account for himself to God.”

I know it seems easy to not use condoms and to follow your hormones and feelings but hold yourselves from being out of wedlock. God intended us to enjoy each other but in responsible way. A wedding is a covenant before God and God honors that covenant by looking at you 2 as 1. It's better to honor 1 person and honor your covenant. Lust and sexual immortality will lead you to death and you need some that cares about you to tell you to turn the other way. No is happy when we follow our own feelings and break each other's hearts. Run away from that spiral downward. Even the wisest man Solomon could not overcome his lust. He himself spiraled downward. Take care of yourselves. Seek what life first which is the kingdom of God. All that you need will be added to you.
