I agree with you in the main 👍 Unfortunately accidents happen no matter how careful we ride, for instance I was rear ended by a fellow biker which put me in hospital for 3 months. It’s all about split second decisions that go wrong in my view, but yes I agree there is no need to filter just to save time. Every time I get on my bike I go out to relax and enjoy the bike not to blast everywhere at high speed, and self preservation is for most in my mind. Nice video 👍

I love how that guy sped past you fast. I hate when they do that, making you feel like you're doing something wrong by riding sensibly. I'm a female biker.

He proved my point, there is no need to ride like that. Don't feel that you're doing anything wrong, ride your own ride and be safe.

On the subject of making yourself seen, in the UK, it is perfectly legal to ride with your high beam on in the DAYTIME. Honestly, the amount of bikes I see just riding with just their little DRL’s on just baffles me! Also, if you commute in high traffic areas then wear a hi-viz helmet. I see it all the time, people ride around on big tourers/adv bikes with big smoked screens with hi viz jackets but a black helmet. You need to make the tallest part of your body more visible, your hi viz jacket is seldom seen when it’s behind your cockpit/screen but your head is always visible.

And number 4, the biggest danger yet, going to Crewe! 😂😂 Joking of cause, I live close and have crashed myself on the Nantwich road heading to the station. I was stopped just past Aldi as the lights at the crossing were on red, 5 seconds after stopping, boom, someone rear ended me, luckily I was in my car so not hurt, but I'm aware of the dangers of that area, busy busy road. Good video 👍

'Ride like you're driving a tank' - exactly how I ride. Keeps me safe. A tank can't filter through tight spaces, can't overtake on bends, and needs to leave a bigger gap to stop. Sound advice, good video.

Thanks for the feedback. I think you might be in the US maybe? I would agree that positioning to the side of a car stopped in front would be safer on wider roads, but trust me the if I were to do that on the road where I am am, that I would be at more risk of being clipped be an vehicle coming at me in the other lane. I fact, we are trained to stay in the middle position where possible when riding. Also, the Insta360 distorts the distance somewhat.

There are almost as many reasons for crashing as there are crashes..i'm an expert on bike damage and minor injuries..where did it all start..began in February 1975..a Honda 50 cub..my first fall on gravel round the corner..67 more crashes later..and nearly half a century..44 motorbikes ridden..about 17 of them owned by me..London courier for 4 decades..around a million kilometres..and i achieved the highest standard of advanced rider when i became a qualified instructor..my whole existence has been motorbikes..if we're born to do something in this life..mine is ride motorbikes..i would not recommend it though..some things are safer today in the 2020's..others more dangerous..bikes were evil handling decades ago..especially early Japanese tyres and suspension..the combination of terrible tyres and immature nature/aggressive riding/alcohol/lack of self preservation and much more..all conspired with fellow bikers like the idiots we were..racing around in groups or solo..i'm so grateful we never lost any lives in our group..some serious accidents but no deaths..many died elsewhere..the death toll on 2 wheels in the late 70's and 80's was horrific..the road traffic laws we have today are as a direct result of the youth of yesteryear losing lives..bikes are superb today..refined..sophisticated..and nowhere near as antisocial..still get the odd biker with loud aftermarket exhausts..i tut..but i havent forgotten my misspent youth..ABS i recommend if you're a determined young man to ride..never an option in my day..and with the crappy tyres a common crash occurrence by overbraking..i still ride at age 68..not for more than a few more years..55 years maximum will be more than enough..take care

We need to anticipate dumba$$ drivers. I see a lot of bikers doing dumba$$ stuff too, driving at speed around blind corners, driving behind trucks where they cannot be seen in the mirrors, but car drivers are on a different level.

0:50 you nearly crash into the car in front 😂
@Google_Does_Evil_Now2 ай бұрын
Probably worth writing a basic script. Practice a little and see how it flows. And the gain/volume on your microphone is too high/loud. The distortion is probably because of too high gain/volume. Test with a lower recording volume. A few tests and you should find a better recording level.
@MakeTracks2 ай бұрын
