I have some nails that will hold on to acrylic like a life preserver, and other nails that are like NAH, we didn’t invite you to this party. Even several pros have had problems with lifting. I think it’s from typing a lot and the flex.

I have a question I'd like to hear you all discuss if you get a chance. How long do you wait before you replace a client who hasn't rebooked with you? When do you know it's time to add clients and when do you actually notice if you have a full clientele anymore?

Can you please discuss how many clients in a day is optimum, how long a gap after/before for running overtime. How long to expect until getting more proficient eg - 3/6 months. What should I be practicing the most before start a course? What’s the most often thing under taught at a generic nail school (starting my Cert next year) Tips or sculpting, pros/cons for each? How do decide which products to use on different clients types of nail beds? Applying product on really difficult nail beds: ski jump, really deep side walls, clubbed nails etc. Got more questions, will add later 🤣
@youngnailsinc3 жыл бұрын
Great questions, I will add them to our list although some I can answer here. Tips vs Sculpting: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5aWYZ5vmriflc0 What nail school doesn't teach: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqbGeYSim8RqpcU Types of nails: If the nails are thin or damaged I typically do acrylic.. if they have healthy nails and or work in chemicals or water all day.. gel typically does better on them How many clients in day depends on how much money you are wanting to make. Here is a model for figuring it out. [ $xx per year (how much you want to be making) divided by 52 weeks = $xx per week (how much you need to make each week) divided by xx hours you want to work each week = how many clients you need.

So you use swipe then 2 coats of protein bond? No prep/dehydrator?
@youngnailsinc Жыл бұрын
Swipe is our cleanser/dehydrator. You would also remove shine from the natural nails with at 150 grit sanding band with light pressure at 3,000-5,000 rpms before using swipe.

we don't test our products with other brands so we can't say for sure. We have heard people have had success though. I recommend asking in our facebook group if you have a specific one in mind and they can tell you their experiences with it.

I personal always have one nail (my pointer finger on my dominant hand) that always lifts first way before any of my other nails do. It’s so annoying but I think it’s because my nail is thin and it is used more often being my dominant hand. THOUGHTS ANYONE?

If it's only one nail that consistently lifts, most likely there is something that is happening to damage that one nail. See what you could be doing during your daily routine that may be wearing on the nail.

Can lifting occurs as a result of the client's lifestyle?
@youngnailsinc Жыл бұрын
It can play a part if the client is very hard on their hands or if pressure is put on the nails on a regular basis. If you have no lifting issues with the majority of your clients, it is possible there is something in the client's lifestyle if you have someone with lifting.

Can you make videos on how not to burn or cut a client, the types of bits and and files we should use, during the process ? What size brush is optimal for cuticle application
@youngnailsinc Жыл бұрын
Burning the client with your e-file could mean your bit is dull or you are leaving it in one place for too long. Cutting the client with a file or sanding band remember to season both of them by removing the sharp edges. Brush size is a preference. You would want to pick up a bigger or smaller pearl based on your clients nail for the cuticle.

What's the difference between primer and protein bond? 🤔halp
@thearmchairjournalist5663 жыл бұрын
Primer is like a cleanser and neutraliser and protein bond is adding stuff to conditioning the nail so the adhesive properties are connecting with the nail plate optimally (was that right Habib!)
@youngnailsinc3 жыл бұрын
Protein Bond is a non acid primer.. it doesn’t chemically etch the nail like a traditional primer does. Protein stays sticky.. sticks to the natural nail and then sticks the product.

Can you use protein bond with dip powders?
@youngnailsinc3 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. If using our dip powder with monomer for acrylics, mixing them with hard gel or with our conversion base then yes you can use protein bond. If using our dip powder with a 4 step rein method then no.

If it’s more than one client, there could be some issues with prep or application. If you are applying tips, it also could be that the tips may not be the correct size. If you try to put a tip on that’s too small, it has more of a tendency to pop or peel away from the sidewalls. Check out this video for more info on sizing your tips. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l37Fg5SebZt7g6Msi=pI585XdGRJSCC3eY

For some reason I always get lifting on the middle fingers especially. It’s not so much to the point where I’m concerned about overall adhesion or strength or water damage but I wonder how to achieve zero or close to zero lifting. Advice anyone??
@lalasarchive13 жыл бұрын
scientifically, the middle finger is the fastest growing nail typically. It might be because it needs to be rebalanced more often?
