I like Amit Kumars voice very much but he is not and never will in his father’s league talent wise. 1. He is a legend though in commercial terms, he may not be as successful as some of his peers. 2. Excluding earlier phase of his career, he was never a clone of KK. His voice modulations were different. 3. I strongly feel he was 'too' comfortable in his own skin, never bothered to go out and get those movie songs from famous Directors etc. (this was discussed in lots of forums; yiu also mentioned that). 4. He lived and is still living his life in his own terms. Wish Almighty allow Dada to live like this As diehard AK fan, my only complaint is he sings lots of KK's songs in open programs instead of his own songs and never pushes (illogical) public to listen to original AK songs...
