thanks for this lovely video alex! i wasnt expecting this format, but the noodling is so pretty, i can look past my face :) thanks to thonk and making sound machines for keeping plinky alive! and in the video chat, i didnt give enough props to kay from lpzwmodules, without whom plinky would never have come out. also if anyone wants a premade plinky, he's your guy... thanks all!

I'm really happy you did this video. A few years ago there was a lot of hype around this device but it was virtually unobtainable because of the chip shortage. To me it was like gear lost to time until I saw it was open source and was happy it was available for people interested in diy'ing it. But this interview is great because it showcases the passion put into the project, and that it's very much alive and well!

Would've liked to see the features discussed demonstrated in the video, to help me understand--as opposed to just noodling. Noodling is fine, but I was anticipating seeing these cool features, and never saw any of them basically.

Reverb and delay are built-in. The way you hear it in this video is how Plinky sounds.

Although I like the demo (my Plinky is waiting for me to put it together) the format of this video is a bit difficult to appreciate. The audio often drowns him out, and chopping up his comments as such makes it hard to follow what he's saying. I mean, unless this is meant to be more artistic than informative, then it's spot on.
@mylarmelodies2 күн бұрын
Yes, it is meant to be a smidge more art/curiosity stoking (eg. what does it sound like?!) than data download - don’t forget there’s subtitles to help “hear” the interview!
