Just wondered if anyone else experienced this and if they go away after a few treatments?? I'm concerned b/c I'm spending a lot of $$ to not see any results. Hi new subscriber. Thanks for sharing, I loved this! I had PRP done twice about 6-7 years ago. Had a lot of bruising but I was happy with results for about a year or so. The T also did RF device after the treatment. I have hollows under my eyes and I don't really think it helped that much but overall I liked it. Bruising is a killer though!! I found a new Therapist who uses both PRP and PRF and she said in her opinion (she is a nurse too) that some people like one or the other. Personally she prefers the PRF but it doesn't work as well on a few people. They go back to PRP. So I'm on the fence as to which one I will get. She has a machine that does BOTH. I'm not sure if that's the way it's meant to be done or not. She said PRF is a smaller vial so I might just get my eyes done with it. Did it help with fine lines (crow's feet) for you? Just dreading the bruises but lots of tips down below in comments. Thank you 🙂

I'm not sure about this, it's something I've never had done, but seriously I had a mini face lift in the office by a verynskillwd surgeon and it was nothing. He did a fabulous job, no pain, scarring around the ear, couldn't even see. So I believe that sometimes a surgeon is the best corrector for many of these issues if you want to look the best you can. I had that done younger than most, but again I can't deny the fabulous results I received. I've also had an anterior brow lift, mind you, none of my surgeries have made me look deformed or look like I've had work done. I get told by many people how beautiful I am and truly appreciate their compliments. I continue upkeep with dermal fillers which I love and ultrasound therapy. I'm just trying to figure out what this actually does? It seems microneedling could substitute this?
@winningagingskinwithalison Жыл бұрын
Glad to hear you've had success w/a mini face lift! It's better to do that when we are younger as a preventative measure too aging. Microneeding is used when doing PRF in order to get the fibroblasts from your blood back into your skin. Microneedling by itself does't typicallly require a blood sample. That is the procedural difference BUT yes they both do the same thing in the sense we are trying to increase the production of collagen & elastin in our skin & keep skin youthful:)
@Chanel15477 Жыл бұрын
I guess the question I'm asking, if they both produce collagen (the PRF with your own fibroblasts) which procedure garners the longest results, straight out microneedling with radio frequecy, or PRF microneedling? How many sessions?
@winningagingskinwithalison Жыл бұрын
@@Chanel15477 Based on what I have read online the PRF has been proven to be more effective in the long run, and the number of sessions depends on a few factors, your current age and what is the desired end goal. It looks as though most medical professionals recommend 3-6 sessions per year. I feel like this is a treatment that could be on-going with once the initial 3-6 are done, maybe 1-2 would be sufficient for maintenance. Not sure if that helps!
@Chanel15477 Жыл бұрын
@@winningagingskinwithalison Mote effective at what? Improving skin texture, volume, removal of darkness around the eyes, I'm not understanding. I had two vials of sculptra done at one time, and I asked her why, she said why not? I later found out, you have to find out how much collegen your own skin will produce after the first vial is initiated. I didn't know this at the time. Personally, it's more of a communication issue than anything else. If you want alot of fullness it needs to be discussed and most of these injectors are terrible communicators. I would take 2-3 treatments of filler, one per month, than wait on a sculltra result, that's just me. I'm a seasoned customer. Although, I will say that it could be the way its re-constituted. If they aren't formulating it correctly you won't get enough product. I say this because my friend had sculptra and looked over-filled for a few months, then it settled and she looked great. It just seems If you want something to last lips, cheeks, whatever, you need to be a little overdone at first. Finding just the right amount of over done can be a difficult task. 🙃

@winningagingskinwithalison2 жыл бұрын
You are numbed for the procedure but can still feel tiny pokes. Definitely tolerable and the procedure itself is pretty quick. You can use ice to help minimize swelling and everyone is different as far as the bruising is concerned. I did have quite a bit but it also depends on the modality used. For example my esthetician didn't use a cannula when she placed the Fibrin back into my skin. I was told that would help significantly. And you can apply an arnica gel that also minimizes bruising. I didn't use that for this procedure but have for others and it works well. I was able to cover my bruises w/foundation and color correcting concealer too. It took about two weeks for the bruising to fade. I hope this helps! Let me know if you move forward with it:)
