Seeing some of the malicious remarks from Mongolians in the comments section, I have to speak out.The Mongols destroyed the Southern Song Dynasty, and the emperors of the Yuan Dynasty condoned Mongol nobles and Semu people. Some Tibetan monks in Han territory engaged in corruption and extortion, emptying the wealth of the entire Southern Song Dynasty. Combined with various natural disasters and misguided governance, the land of the entire Southern Song Dynasty became a land of death during the decades of Mongol rule. The people of southern China harbored extreme hatred towards the Mongols. How do Mongols who clamor about the evil of the Han people in the comments section view this? At that time, the Mongol army slaughtered a million people in Sichuan in order to coerce the Song state to surrender. What do the Mongols think about this? Not to mention that the Mongols directly caused a discontinuation in Chinese history, leading to a great regression in civilization. How many Chinese people today seriously hold you accountable for this unprecedented loss? If you truly feel that we have wronged you, remember that historically it was you who repeatedly initiated aggression against the Chinese, and you have always taken pride in it, causing countless injuries to the Chinese, almost several times more than Japan. Yet how many Han people seriously hold onto past hatred, regarding you Mongols as true enemies? You yourselves allied with the Manchus for your own interests, wanting to jointly rule China like the Manchus did, thinking you could still be as glorious as before, but you were ultimately manipulated by Manchu emperors using Buddhism and Shanxi merchants, leading to a sharp decline in population and loss of combat capability. Aren't these all the evil consequences you brought upon yourselves? Did Han people force you to hand over Inner Mongolia to the Manchus so you could attack the Ming Dynasty smoothly? And don't you realize that your experiences in the late Qing Dynasty are almost identical to those of the Chinese throughout the entire Yuan Dynasty? It's truly ironic.

Out of all the interviews I've seen, this is the most reasonable one. They actually gave specific reasons (historical or cultural). In other videos, 95% of Mongolians that were interviewed could never explain why they hate Chinese people! It's almost like they were born to naturally hate Chinese people. From an outsider's perspective, it should be the Chinese that should hate the Mongolians, because the Mongols and their ancestors (the Xiongnus) have tried to invade China for almost 3,000 years, and succeeded once with Genghis/Kublai Khan.
@marioplayer1410Ай бұрын
Mongolians hate China because Chinese are easily hateable and it's socially encouraged. This can be due to a lot of reasons, but for Mongolians who take pride in their Empire, of course it tastes like shit if they were colonised by the Chinese.

Very divided. Older generations generally like the Soviet Union (due to factories providing jobs and Soviet allies joining the Mongol military to protect the Mongol homeland against potential Japanese and Chinese occupation), have good/neutral sentiments about modern Russia (because of our people there) while the youth doesn't think much about Russia nor the Soviet Union. USA sentiments vary but Mongolia wants to work with USA just like China worked with the USA to become billionaires and millionaires. Mongolia views USA as a third neighbor with lots of avenues for trade and military cooperation. Thousands of Mongolians allied with the West to protect Afghanistan before, even gaining a reputation for being fierce and alert soldiers amongst their international soldiers and peers.

Mongolia was once within the Soviet sphere of influence. It's current borders were designed to provide a good enough buffer between China and the former USSR. So the Sino-Soviet conflict also probably played a part with regards to the negative perception of older Mongolians against the Chinese. Today, Mongolia's economy is highly dependent on trade with China. It's a landlocked country with a small population that's increasingly urbanizing. People and goods cannot go out without passing through Chinese or Russian territory. It is a nation whose glory has long faded hundreds of years ago. So it doesn't really make sense for the younger generation to even cultivate relation-breaking hatred against the Chinese.

Several people in the video stated about the Qing Dynasty (led by Manchus), yet no one stated about the one before it, the Yuan Dynasty (led by the Mongols) in China. The Qing was bad to Mongols, but the Qing and Yuan were bad to the Chinese too, in varying degrees. In fact, the Mongol Empire's span is one of the biggest in history, across Eurasia, and I hope they have a more nuanced view of the reasons of having animosity between people, rather than just having a one-sided view of playing as the victim of theft, murder, rape, pillaging, and etc.

Though not Mongolian nationally, I am Buyat Mongol, and I think it is very stupid for anyone to be against China, especially Mongols. Most "Northern Chinese" are very likely genetically Mongol whether they like that or not, so being against them, is like being against your distant cousin. Manchus didn't "colonise" Mongolia, they conquered it and they held such honour and love for Chinghis that only Mongol and Manchu Princesses were allowed to marry the Qing Emperors and Nobility, until centuries later, they allowed Han Chinese to marry too. Many Mongol traditions were practiced by the Qing as well, they even held the Ger as their ceremony house when welcoming guests outside of a palace. Regardless, we should not be against Chinese, they are not like Europeans, who, if anyone bothered to study world history, were responsible for flooding the entire Qing Empire with narcotics to destroy it's vast wealth, cultural, technological and military power. They colonised most of the world and committed the worst genocides. Would you take such a pack of hyenas as a friend? or the dragon and the bear, who has already had their fill.
Mongolia's anti-China stance is politically correct. Caused by state guidance. We start with the Mongol Empire and see who hurt whom more. Today, they do not recognize the Qing Dynasty as a Chinese dynasty, but they use China's invasion of them during the Qing Dynasty as an excuse to hate China.

Here I would like to point out that the Manchus once ruled China, but in the early days of their conquest, they adopted cruel means of repression, but gradually, they managed China with the idea of governance, that is, they regarded China as their own territory and ruled it for the purpose of long-term governance, and they had a certain vision of development. However, during the reign of Genghis Khan, the Mongols were always treated by China as the object of exploitation. That is to say, during the Yuan Empire, the Mongols never regarded China as their own territory and people, they only ruthlessly exploited and robbed China, without considering how to govern it for a long time and make the local people live a stable life, so the Yuan Empire did not exist for a long time. But as time went by, the Chinese never hated the Mongols or the Manchus. Instead, we set aside hatred and prejudice to live in harmony with our people. But I know people in Mongolia are very biased and hateful towards Chinese people, I don't know why. From my personal point of view, it may be because the Mongols have conquered many countries and nations in history, so they are immersed in the past pride. As soon as others develop better than they do, their fragile self-esteem turns into jealousy and hatred, attempting to achieve the self-comforting effect of inner balance through psychological contempt for the other person.

The relationship between the Han and Mongolians should be good. My family was once Mongolian and settled in southern China after Kublai Khan became emperor of China. Mongolia's military system is very backward. Military households are permanently military households and are not allowed to engage in business. Every time they go on an expedition, they have to provide their own weapons and food. The spoils and expenditures are unbalanced. Many Mongolian military households have become slaves. In the Mongolian Empire for less than two hundred years In the history of the empire, rebellions by Mongolian military households have been suppressed everywhere. However, due to the small population of Mongolia, the uprisings ended in failure. It was not until the end of the empire that the Han people joined the uprising and relied on their huge population to defeat the Mongolian nobles. The failure of the Mongol Empire was caused by the internal killings of the golden families and their neglect of the living conditions of the middle and lower-class Mongolian military households. After the Golden Family fled South China, 200,000 military households in North China and Khalkha Mongolia also refused to be loyal. The steppes were locked in a war for the succession to the empire. In the southern farming areas, after the unification of South China and North China, the Han emperor established the Ming Empire. The Mongolian military households who were the main force of his army also received awards and settled in China as military households of the Ming Empire, but they had to change their Mongolian names. It is a Han name. In order to stabilize the Mongolian military households in the army, the Ming Empire also required the royal family to marry Mongolians. The resentment of the Khalkha Mongols came from the fact that Kublai Khan favored the Chinese region and favored the Inner Mongolians when the Manchus ruled Mongolia. As the ruler of the country, Kublai Khan could not be biased towards the politically hostile Khalkha Mongols, and the Manchus would definitely be biased towards the Inner Mongolians who firmly supported them. These two points made the Outer Mongolians feel ostracized by the entire empire and promoted hostility to China by Soviet Union. The current hostility of Outer Mongolians towards the Chinese is mainly due to the huge gap between the rich and the poor. They believe that the rulers ignore the lower-class Mongolians, make secret deals with the Chinese, and vent their emotions on China-related affairs.

It is actually not true that Hukeye was colonized by the Manchus. During the Manchurian period, Mongolia was a special region separated from China, the population was exempt from taxes, but the subordinates received low wages called punlu, and government employees were highly paid and had little responsibility. Only these two nationalities have the right to be promoted to the highest rank and position. Intermarriage was supported by the state and supported by the title and pension, but mixing with other nationalities was prohibited by law. In 1907, China decided to become a constitutional monarchy, so it canceled its previous laws regarding Mongolia. Because of this, the Chinese came to settle in Outer Mongolia in large numbers. Also, the Mongolian feudal lords, who did not pay taxes and only received gifts from the Manchurian king, were separated from their old privileges. For this reason, the movement to break away from the Manchu king and establish an independent state arose among the feudal lords. Also, only Manchu Mongolians were allowed to serve in the highest positions of the Manchu government. the Chinese were enslaved by the Manchus and Mongols

Mongolia is a great country with many kind and hardworking people. However, over the years, many Mongolians have damaged this beautiful land in pursuit of wealth, resulting in severe pollution, poor transportation, and inadequate urban development. Despite the appearance of democratic elections, corruption remains rampant, with even the airport being owned by Japanese interests. Some Mongolians hold biases and display arrogance towards China, even fostering baseless fears, yet they exhibit reluctance to engage in their own country's development. Unfortunately, in China, Mongolia's concerns are often overlooked. Chinese people hope for Mongolia to achieve better development, raise living standards, improve environmental protection, and take pride in their own culture rather than simply imitating Korean or Hollywood culture. They hope that young Mongolians studying abroad will return home to contribute to the progress of their homeland. Let's look forward to a future of friendly relations between our two countries. China controls Inner Mongolia as well, that’s also Mongolia where the ethnic Mongol-Chinese live. They aren’t stealing history, it’s literally their history and it took place on their land. Before you complain about China colonizing your land, the ethnic mongol-chinese don’t want to join Mongolia. They are much richer with a higher quality of living. And also would Genghis khan give up his land willingly if he didn’t have to? Then why should the Chinese? You have a better chance trying to convince Americans to give their land back to the natives first.

I have a hard time believing that Inner Mongols are just as wealthy as their Chinese occupant counterparts. In reality, they are probably many times poorer.

@@baatar Inner Mongolia is ranked 8th in GDP in China. Not the richest province but not the poorest. Minorities get preferential treatment in China, if they are doing as well as Hui Muslims they should doing pretty good. Regardless if they are rich as Han, ethnic mongols are still many times richer than Mongolians.

@@MarkMiller304 in any colonial framework, the natives always get a raw deal compared to the occupants. Your argument is no different than Israelis claiming Israeli-Arabs are better off than Palestinians. While that may be true, they will always be second-class citizens in their own land.
@MarkMiller30425 күн бұрын
@@baatar Inner Mongolia is not a colony though, it’s a fully integrated part of the country much like California or New Mexico is in the US. All of its inhabitants are full citizens with equal rights. You’re making false comparisons on purpose to fit your own narrative.

@@MarkMiller304 that’s the same pathetic argument the Portuguese made for Angola, Mozambique, and Goa, same as the French with Algeria. You’re not stating anything new. What’s next, you think French Guiana isn’t a colony either because it’s a part of France?

As China's economic and military power grows so does their aggressive attitude towards their Asian neighbours, they should definitely not be overly trusting of China as a country to keep their independence.

Says the guy who went back on their Potsdam’s agreement to give China back the South China Sea. And gave senkaku Island to japan when it was occupied ryuku island and was suppose to be given to Taiwan republic of China Chiang Kai shek. All overseas Chinese including Taiwanese and Chinese protest the move back then s occupied ryuku island like occupied Germany only to give that part to japan trol. Good job in dividing Asia and having Vietnam bully Taiwan and Philippines a divided Asia and where Asians kill other asians I support to

China so weak it deserves to be bullied by usa and Vietnam. Now it has power prepared to be bullied back. Our scs and senkaku island completely turned. As you taught us might makes right. A lessons from usa and Mongolians

Each country in the scs if they have an island can claim up to x amount of the water in the scs. although the potdams accord after ww2 gave republic of china all the reign including from the qing when vietnam didnt have the power to stand up to china. due to the new ruling vietnam, philipines and sea countries can claim up to x amount and share. taiwans roc original 11 dash line is even more than china which was promised by the us. usa not trustworthy because like chinese, they are jews

In the United Nations they ruled Taiwan taiping island isn’t a island so Philippines have control over that jurisdiction. In fact Vietnamese have invaded that island to. China wants to protect the island with Taiwan 😂 😂 so dumb
Mongolia was kept under Soviet influence to create a buffer zone between China and the USSR in the past, without USSR, no matter whether PRC or ROC won the civil war, China would assimilate Outer Mongolia into China. Unfortunately, with the current population, culture, and geography position, Mongolia only has a little chance to compete with China, with the Chinese Mongolians in Inner Mongolia, where the number of Mongolians is larger than in Outer Mongolia, with the education system trying to assimilate them into the Greater China, the only chance for Mongolia to survive is waiting for China to make mistake and "collapse". Anyway, the world is very brutal, if you don't fast enough, you will be left behind and assimilated into another culture, and disappear, it is happening, you can see the Western culture and influence everywhere because they are the current winner. Maybe the world right now is less brutal, but natural selection will continue no matter what happens. The hatred towards China is easy to understand because of history, geopolitics, and the current change in China's policy and response from the West which wants to maintain its dominance.
