In Turkey, 5 championships equal to 1 star. Galatasaray currently has 23 league titles so they have 4 stars which is the most. Followed by Fenerbahçe with 19 wins (3stars) and Beşiktaş with 14.

In Argentina you can have whatever stars you want on your shirt. River Plate uses none, despite having the most, some clubs use just one to represent all of them, other clubs mix amateur, local and international trophies. The national team wears 3 because of FIFA rules.

It really should be standardized. For club shirts, one star for every 10 league wins makes sense. For national teams, one star for every international cup win, gold for world Cup, silver for continental cup.
