Because the humans that showed up were far from the best. And it became immediately apparent to the Engineer that the humans created something in their own image like the Engineers did but it was something *horrible* I don't think people fully understand the awfulness of David. Narcissistic psychopaths rose to the top of human civilization to run (And ruin) everything. So when these humans created machines in their image they replicated *psychopathy* as a feature, not a flaw. To his creators, he is perfect. "Zero delusions of morality..." And the ONE thing keeping the psychopaths in check was that one day 'Mean old Mr. Burns grows old and dies.' That will not happen with David. I'm not sure how long the androids in the Alien franchise last but their functional lifespan is far, far longer than humans. So now humans invented psychopaths *that do not die* They will keep living and learning how to do terrible things to beings perceived as their lessors. You grind up cows into hamburgers to eat, don't you? That is their reasoning. Your feelings are irrelevant. The androids were created with no empathy because their creators viewed empathy as a weakness. Something to remove gradually through repeated iterations. And this is how the Engineer becomes a heroic antagonist. He has to stop the humans. Has to. Countless lives are at stake. And sadly, he fails in the end so everybody is doomed and subject to David's endless cruelty.

Since the engineers created humans with the black goo, do you think they created other humans or types of humans on other planets too? It’d only make sense right? I think it’d be cool if they end up making another “Alien” movie, the humans on earth/wayland corp stumbles upon another planet with human-like creatures made by engineers. Continuing and adding onto the “alien” aspect since that whole planet would technically be aliens too. I just think it’d be a cool idea to continue the storyline of how engineers proceed to create life

i don;t think there i s a case to be made that engineer hate humans. they want/wanted (some of them ) to destroy 'earth but i cannot see what you mean by hate. there is a case for despise imo and other emotions/attitudes but not one for hate.
