My dad went to the 1958 Cup Final. He said that when Abide With Me was sung, there wasn't a dry eye in Wembley. My first final was in 1976 and it was great to hear that grand old hymn and to sing it. In 1977 both sets of fans, United and Liverpool, gave a great rendition. It really is an emotional moment.

@@yeett173 the Modi govt people had been on it for a long time..😤 The Beating Retreat loses its charm then. Apart from the popular songs played in the ceremony, most of the other songs from Indian composers are drab. The way The Indian military bands played the hymn was the most befitting for the occasion as well as for the tradition. Sigh..

Years ago I worked on a home in which an elderly gentleman died. The son had been living a life of sin and had no sense of eternal perspective. Many of the rooms were black and felt sooty. It was difficult to see even when I had a bright light turned on. As time went by I had many discussions with the son and eventually I saw a man go from living a life of son to living a very different life.

Hi, thank you for your great work and hard research go maintain awareness of a hymn that really only belongs to certain believers .. there are others , I also raise awareness of this, without causing possible arguing and causing a negative reaction, I would like to offer my work, my partner and I have covered around 25 thousand hrs of documentaries reading etc, I run 7 groups on FB raising awareness on different topics.. the work I am releasing is totally unique, I was led to a hidden spiritual language in the words, phrases, titles, etc.. I am a fair way into uncovering whole new way of how our language can solve our riddles. Your words made me tingle, I have a valuable key at the end of my life to release others .. your video delivery is 2nd to none .. you have the most peaceful vibration. I have that too, however, I'm on the Spiritual frontline right now taking down the world serpent with thousands and thousands of others .. I rest when war is over and peace returns.. much warmth your way. 🤗🤗
