Why do we pray? - Questions for curious kids

We pray because it helps us stay close to God. Just like you talk to your family and friends to build a strong relationship, talking to God through prayer helps us grow closer to Him. We pray to thank Him for all the good things, to ask for help when we need it, and to share our thoughts and feelings. Praying shows that we trust God and know that He cares for us and will guide us. It's like sending a text message straight to someone who can understand us completely. Praying can make us feel happy, calm, and supported, just like a warm hug from our best friend. Plus, it helps us think about what's important to us and how we can be our best selves.
