The higher you go the less yes you will get but also too the more you will have to play them in when you drop down in weight class to get more line capacity... and I would personally step up the size and style of Reel for sure lx Raptor to make easy work of them fish to catch more per hour and also limit the Amount of fight time for each fish better quality of meat to eat... sashimi

I personally seen a Avet sx 5.3 mc single speed matched up with a oceanmaster 10 medium heavy casting rod. (20lb momoi mono) This sucker was being bombed waaaaay out there. Couldn't believe how those two items worked perfect together. Result = 36 inch bull red.

Yes sir you can go single speed reels and still fight fish and take a bit longer... that all depends what your end game is... if you strictly just fishing for yourself you can make it happen.. but your into getting into tournaments then you will def want to step up your game cause time is always against you and taking a long time to fight fish can also work against you as well..

I dont fish that rod a lot of people buy them cause they are cheaper and local.. but ftu or cui would be a better recommendation and cheaper ....but the Steadfast rods are the next gen improvement.... that's the rod I intend on making to cast the 130trx.

Yes jawbones are good blanks, I have a few rods built on them and can't complain at all. Also have a steadfast shark rod and fixing to build two surf rods with steadfast blanks. 👍

One of the best things about investing in the avet raptors is being able to use one reel for several types of fishing. Good example is the MXL Raptors. Great video, I chose a Avet sxj for light duty with sx raptor on heavy duty. Getting skilled enough to even pull 20+ inch speckled trout with the sxj on 1/2 once jigs, while the sxj raptor has bait.

I do a lot of research and finally bought my first Avet when they came out with the G2's now I had a better price range and more drag to work with..But those Tackle Industry rods,if I can walk out of your shop with one under $200.00 tax included ,I'd buy one.I'd pay $179.00 for a 9' 2 pc. or the Tank that was $135.00 its $150.00 now for a Tank 8'6" casting I'd go buy one...As a matter of fact the green tank XH 8'6" was the one I liked best .You see several dealers around their midnorth area go in buy for a cheaper price or have shipping flat rate 8.00..But if your a dealer do you offer those midnorth Iowa Minnesota etc. prices to us fellow Texans ? If so please let me know and you'll have another customer...BTW I like the Avets so much I'm buying 2 more in about a week or 2,as for the rods I called and and asked for you Albert,but he told me they were $199.00 nah that turned me off,I asked about the green tanks he said they only come in spinning models and I know that is not correct.....So send me a shout out here if you have those 8'6" tanks .... Right now Im using pure heavy duty 7'6" S glass rods Striper stealths from CTF ....

Cash is paramount in helping any business save money, paying with credit cards really puts a hurt on us cause of the fees and or the cash back hidden details ... and as for the shipping costs we are going off what the price of shipping costs us... Im just getting into ocean fishing. And i can relate to how you did research to know this stuff because that what im doing and feel overwhelmed at times. I never used a conventional reel. Only spinning reels so someone gave me a penn jigmaster 500 and i put 50lbs braid on it and so my question is is this reel capable of pulling Bluefin tuna because i would like to try fishing for that but i go to these sport shops around me and all they say is you can put what ever you want and what are you going out for but don't really help. I even ask so would this penn jigmaster 500 be able too. Their answer was idk it probably can if you set it up right. So ok what should i put on it. And they say well what ever you want to. So i originally wanted 60lbs braid with 100lbs fluorocarbon leader. But i ened up buyong a spool of 130lbs test thinking it was 60 but did not see it was test 60kg and the sells guy said nothing about it. I noticed it when i got home so i went to another shop and they put on 50lbs braid and now i dont even know what size leader to put on. Or if i should just buy a reel to hold that 130lbs test. Please if you can help with information to help other like me that are just starting and want to land bluefin and marlin or sharks or any other big game like this what would be a good reel and line combo. And yes i do have a 8ft hand crafted fishing pole for off shore ocean fishing. Thank look forward to seeing a video or hear from you.

So the 130# what type of line is that? And yes most definitely would upgrade your reel I'd tour trying to target tune and sharks.. unless you really like tha challenge of fighting these fish to the brink of death and even then some maybe to heavy to pull up with that size line...
