Hello Michael, Thanks for your effort To greatly increase the ilkelyhood that anyone will listen to the conversation, please add an index with links to the points of the show where certain topics are discussed. I imagine it's a long and tedious process but it greatly helps the enjoyability of the show, imo. Best!

I’d be curious what her thoughts are regarding Harems and whether there are male harems. In humans, whenever men were in power, they often had multiple lovers, concubines, harems, but female rulers tended not to have these. Also, in polygamous societies, this trend is unidirectional as well. Throughout history, women were content to share males. Males would kill one another rather than share females.
@vls37712 жыл бұрын
True ....however there are many accounts going back to ancient Egypt where the royal girls and women would choose multiple men for there pleasure ...Cleopatra was said to have over 50 men at any given time serving her.
@globalist19902 жыл бұрын
I've heard of some small societies, I think I remember one in Nepal, where women would have more than one "husband", usually brothers or brother-like. When there's hardships and a lot to do just to "keep afloat", it seems like a good deal. But, I think our amygdala doesn't agree with that very well. I feel many men might easily agree with female liberation and women having their own needs and wants, having to deal with other men as part of that freedom is a complete different deal though.
@vls37712 жыл бұрын
Sure the social structures were quite different it was serving rather than relationship but it's interesting to consider how the "mind of a woman" may operate under a more powerful position in society like ancient Egypt .......

When talking about why there are two sexes. My theory , and this maybe controversial, may have to do with roles in a more complex life form like ours plays. Say if you have a cloning reproduction the idea of protecting you and the young from predators becomes problematic. That’s where a third option that cannot be concerned with child rearing becomes the solution. He in this case becomes the protector/ provider. While she concentrates all her energy on the child.

The longer she spoke, the less I found her credible. Her excessive use of word fillers (er, um, you know) became jarring, and many of her statements were a bit vacuous. Example, at the end where she said males and females are more similar than different, well of course they are! With no third option how could it appear any other way!
@Garett.12142 жыл бұрын
I also doubt she understands what majority is and what’s optimal in a reproduction standpoint. Just because there are outliers of sexes doesn’t mean that the majority doesn’t fall between two. In those outliers, some can not reproduce or even have a desire to do so.

lots of debatably abstract/faintly dotted lines you're attempting to red-yarn between all of these contentious issues, positing them as concrete. @@ntr10me woman are innately more compassionate and since they have been allowed to vote we can see their influence in legislation. Similarly police shootings, we need to drop the Standards to allow woman so police officers are not intimidating so criminals fight back ergo police correctly shoot them. Throughout history men have run things and now that woman have an equal role in governance there are real world repercussions.
