As a women, I can confirm this phenomenon. Every time I'm around a grubby man, I can feel my skin literally itching to be peeled off. Obviously it still happens when I'm on my period, but it's been a lot better now that I don't interact with icky boys. It used to peel off in chunks, and now just a really gentle exfoliating cleanser does the trick! Take care of your skin ladies, and stop exposing it to icky sticky man-babies! 🥰

oh my god yes!! there’s so much misinformation out there about this, influencers will tell you “this isn’t a normal part of your period” and then tell you you can just take their supplement or whatever to fix it, or worse, tell you it’s your fault for not eating right!! I love the original creator of this video but she’s clearly fallen victim to the toxic diet culture nonsense, too. it’s not women’s fault that male pheromones and male lack of hygienic can cause excessive skin peeling during periods. ladies, I am so sorry more men don’t understand this, like what’s next, you’ve never heard of tampons??

And then they'll watch these videos clearly showing a woman's peeling, and deny that it's a normal part of a woman's cycle, or worse, that it doesn't even happen. "Oh but my girlfriend doesn't peel!" Maybe she's just hiding it from you because she's embarrassed. Or maybe she's one of the lucky few that has minimal peeling! I'm so happy that this is being talked about more and more. Women's health is important!

I was terrified when I first shed but now I’m fine with it. I even keep serum and moisturizer in my school bag if I start peeling during the day and I can protect the new skin with moisture. I highly recommend the cerave or cetaphil moisturizer and hydrating serum or toner. It adds a glow and keeps your skin healthy so you can put your peeling ointment on at home without the new skin burning.
