This is without everything else such as help with water rates, free dentists, cost of living rises etc. So because I have the full pension because I have paid full stamp, I am worse off than someone who never paid into the system? @@Barbara-m6k I am a pensioner and I am retired but contribute as a volunteer for quite a few charities especially in the mental health sector for Armed Forces Veterans like MIND and other military charities that help veterans in times of need. I am also a civilian volunteer instructor in the cadet forces. All are unpaid posts but helps others. Saying pensioners are not productive is a wrong comment to make imo as there are many like myself that do good for others. I am in my 70's and am very much still working but not for financial reasons. I still pay tax on my pensions and I am not well off by any means but will have to cut back like everyone else.

My house is heated by an electric fire. It has to be on the whole day along with a hot water bottle. I have an illness which affects the circulation to my hands and feet. I have paid a lifetime of tax and National Insurance.

Labour carried out research in 2017 that demonstrated thousands of elderly would die, if the Tories cancelled the heating allowance, so used their research to protest against the Tories from cancelling payments. The Tories did not stop the heating benefit. The Labour Party now want to stop heating allowance .If the heating allowance is stopped, will the Labour party be complicit in manslaughter if anyone dies 2024/25 of hypothermia/malnutrition/falls etc as they had known the risks to the vulnerable elderly as shown in their own research? It does beg the question .Is the Labour Party trying to 'Kill off ' our senior citizens😢
