My grandfather is an MBBS doctor who did his practice in rural areas(because he loves the atmosphere of villages). So many of his compounders just started their own practice right next to my grandfather's hospital. They always prescribe powerful pain killer injections, which will, of course, do nothing but just to give them temporary relief. A lot of the villagers visit these compounders because of this rather than visit an actual doctor.

bhai, we mbbs students already have many rural service bond in many states but most of us don't want to serve their due two basic reason: for phc & chc, 1. lack of infra, equipments, support staff, basic facility like regular electricity. 2. physical and verbal violence and security risks things are improving their with constant efforts of central and many state govts but it is still a long way to go... we also want to serve our own people in rural to fix their depivation for medical facilities as general practicioner after mbbs or as specialist after pg but it can only happen if we get out requirements solved first

They select students after their 12th class on merit basis and send them to other countries like USA, India, UK, etc, free of cost to study and in return, they have to work in Bhutan for first 5 years after their graduation and after that they are free to move where ever they want. source : My friend who is a Bhutanese, studying in my college.

The main problem is NO DOCTOR WANT TO WORK IN RURAL AREAS. No matter how much someone says this - i want to help people but no ,no one wants it. Physiotherapists, psychologist or other paramedic staff too , you'll find them in big cities because they don't get enough salary after studying so much. My uncle had surgery and he needed physiotherapy treatment afterwards so we've to stay in city only because in my town there were no physiotherapist. Well, wanna mention that physiotherapist are magician they made my uncle walks again!!💪 Respect++++

Fees of a gov medical college is way too less ( also that's the reason why everyone wants end up in a gov medical college n very few opts for pvt colleges) hence most of the students wouldn't wanna sign that contract even if they don't have to give fees..

Seriously??? FIVE YEARS??? Wow. First we work our ass off for six years to a basic mbbs degree. Then we fight other competitive exams to get a pg seat. Then study again for three years. After giving almost ten years of our life, we should be forced to work for FIVE YEARS?. In rural areas? Okay, I understand that, but do you know what's the payscale of a govt doctor in rural area? The living conditions, the local politics, and the way doctors are beaten up? Imagine dedicating so much of your life and blood and sweat into a profession only to be given so much less salary, forced to do rural bonds for years. Doctor ki quality if life nahi matter karti kya? Do you know what all we sacrifice to just complete an mbbs degree? If something needs to change, it's the approach of people towards doctors and government to invest more in Healthcare and give doctors the benifits and salary and amenities they deserve. PHCs are literally in shambles, believe me. Basic medicines are not available there. Thanks for making the video, but please for once talk to an actual doctor and understand their pain too.
