I just remembered something. Isn't Hagrid resistant to certain spells because he is half-giant? Maybe that's something Hagrid used to his advantage to help Dumbledore, but perhaps Hagrid almost died in the process, showing unwavering faith and loyalty to Dumbledore and bravery even against the most powerful dark wizard of the generation, despite his dark childhood. Honestly, now that I think about it, if Dumbledore saw this happening in front of him FIRST HAND, I would totally understand why he has absolute faith in Hagrid and why he'd "trust Hagrid with [his] own life."

it's possible that Hagrid is asked to "stand aside" by Grindelwald, but he refuses to do so (just like how Lily refused to stand aside from Harry for Voldemort), thereby casting some sort of love protection on him. admittedly it won't be as powerful as a mother's love for her son, but it might be one of the reasons Dumbledore is able to eventually beat Grindelwald.
@insertclevernamehere11862 жыл бұрын
@@JuanMataCFC 1. Why would Grindelwald care about Hagrid, let alone give him the option to stand aside? The guy kills babies, for crying out loud! 2. The protection is applied when to protector dies, both with Lily for Harry and Harry for Hogwarts (although he walked it off). Hagrid ain't dead.

He has to get the trees from the Forbidden Forrest and he’s the only one with the relationship he has with it’s residents. That's more speculative but we already know the reason Dumbledore trusts. Dumbledore trusts people who have proven the ability to love unconditionally. Snape loves Lily so much that even after her death he pledged himself in defending her son whom he hated. Harry was willing to die from the age of 11 to protect those he loves and showed the same capacity each subsequent year. Hagrid loves even the most monstrous creatures despite how dangerous they are, indeed I'd argue that every friendship Hagrid makes he offers the same unconditional love. These are three people who have every reason to abandon love given their situations, but they chose not to even though doing so could kill them.

If I look at it positively, it's because Hagrid is a genuinely good person even if he is not the brightest person around. If I look at it cynically, it's because Dumbledore strategically knows that Hagrid, who has always faced prejudice and discrimination due to his heritage and love for scary creatures, is eager to please Dumbledore because he took Hagrid in when he was expelled/his father passed away. Furthermore, knowing how Dumbledore is always several steps ahead of everyone, I would assume Dumbledore always takes Hagrid's carelessness into account and assigns specific jobs that is pushed into action by Hagrid's carelessness.

He probably learned more than most, but focused more on the subjects he was interested in.

I agree. He trusts that Hagrid will put his life on the line to protect anything he was tasked with protecting. Dumbledore can’t truly be trusting Hagrid to keep a secret, though. He is too wise for that. Dumbledore May tell Hagrid that something is a secret, but surely he has every expectation that anything Hagrid knows has a good chance of leaking to Harry and friends. Either Dumbledore secretly wants this to happen, or is at least strategically preparing for that possibility. Nobody can be fully and unconditionally trusted. Only trusted in certain areas where they are the most predictable.

To invert this, I could trust an 85 year old man in that I'd talk to him about anything and value his advice. At the same time, I would not trust that man to pull me up from a ledge. 7:15 Moleskin isn't made from moles.... From en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moleskin : Moleskin is a heavy cotton fabric, woven and then shorn to create a short, soft pile on one side. The feel and appearance of its nap is suede-like,[1] less plush than velour and more like felt or chamois. The word is also used for clothing made from this fabric.[2] Clothing made from moleskin is noted for its softness and durability. Some variants of the cloth are so densely woven as to be windproof.[3]

Hagrid, in terms of virtue, was a Percival level knight in addition to being a “tank”.

Maybe Dumbledore disarmed Grindlewald of the Elder Wand because he was attacking Hagrid. It would explain Hagrid's undying loyalty to Dumbledore and why Dumbledore was able to win his duel against Grindlewald - D now had the unbeatable wand. It might not even violate the Blood Oath between Dumbledore and Grindlewald if he was acting to protect another and not to harm Grindlewald.

Video idea: Why is Moaning Murtle a ghost (why does she not move on) and if that has something to do with Voldemort, did she move on when he died?

Hagrid's coat is not made of mokeskin since harry goes through it's pockets when he needs to pay the post owl the morning after hagrid telling him he's a wizard. Unless it is possible to go through it's content if the owner has aloud it in some way...

What I want to know is why Filch was around. Using magic to clean seems extremely fast for someone with experience with the spell, not to mention all of the house elves employed at Hogwarts. Hagrid is a great guy, loyal friend and a useful person to have around. As for Filch, what exactly does he bring to the table? He's angry, bitter, can't use magic and hates kids even more than the teachers. Does he even want to be there?

I was, and still am, under the impression that this series is called Fantastic Beasts is because Newt Scamander is the main character in the series, and he was the person who wrote that book.

Conspiracy theory: Hagrid’s wand was split into multiple pieces before he brought the pieces to Dumbledore, who used the Elder wand to repair them and hide them in his own umbrella. This also could have been the case due to Hagrid helping him, and Dumbledore merely trying to return the favor. So basically, what SCB theorizes.

Your theory about Hagrid's wand makes perfect sense.
