@@MrChevyGames I finally beat that Wildstar boss but it was no picnic! (And yeah, the DLC boss in Midnight Suns is crazy; had to lower it to "Story" for that one, as even normal was too hard. 😝

Great review. I love this game. I still haven't completed it, because some levels are challenging and tricky. You really have to use your Capes correctly to complete the mission. So, if anyone is reading and hasn't bought the game (but are interested), then this game is spectacular and (like he says above) it "punches above it's weight[-class]". Incredible game. Worth every penny.

I think the main issue most people are having is that you can't make a custom hero out the gate and have to use their characters. Also the writing is lacking in many areas. I'm still planning to buy this either way cause I do like the gameplay a lot from the original demo I played months back. Plus this is this developer's first game ever and I gotta say it's not a bad first go around. Also I wanted to leave a comment here that felt genuine cause as a fellow creator we all need that :)

Hey, if you are one of the developers, I love, love, love this game. It's been really, really fun. It's something that I can sit down and play a level, and I will probably complete it. But, of course, I won't get all the objectives completed. So, then, I wait a day or two, think about it, and then come back and try to get all objectives. Also, I realized that I as level-up and get better superhero, then I can come back and it's a little easier. I can't wait to come back to the game (after work) and try to go back and build up more XP and truly finish the level. Because I'm at "Never Meet Your Heroes" level, and it's damned tough. But, again, I love it. Anyway, please, be thinking of the sequel. Also, maybe, give us some DLC that we can buy, because I want to come back to it after I finish it. I sure hope that this is a long-term platform for your staff to develop more content related to CAPES. And, I really do think that you hit it out of the park with this game.

People hate it? I mean, it’s not perfect, but it’s plenty of fun. Even with its flaws. The writing is a tad lacking, but by no means bad.

Thia game is great. Tons of replay ability even though the game is pretty linear in missions but thats what the gane is. You have to kind of grind to get your heroes leveled up and work for it but then you can replay the missions which i think is super cool.

Why? Do you want an itemized list or a few examples are enough? Sampled menu sounds effects. Extremely bad, to a degree that it can only be intentional, bad voice acting. Is this enough?

@@MrChevyGames its legitimately one of the best designed games mechanically ever, IMO. The combat side, anyways. But I enjoyed the talky rpg part well enough as well.

@@kevinarnold8634 Looking at this video, you'll see that all the footage is taken from the same 5 mins of game play. Why? Maybe because the game is so bad that even this guy, fishing for controversy to generate views, can't stomach to play it through and through? Also, take a look at the titles he gives other videos... They are all attempts at click baiting. So, people hate the game because it is overall a bad game. It is unoriginal and becomes boring really fast. It also continuously breaks immersion with the really bad sound design (the fact they literally sampled the menu sounds is actually baffling) and this guys is just farming clicks, like always.
