Assuming people just don't like it because it's not the heaviest. I'm never gonna get mad at a band for writing an objectively good radio pop rock song. It's not bad by any means, just not directly comparable to their previous releases. This is an example of bands not wanting to write metal or heavy music anymore, but feel like they have to because of their root fan base. So many bands that transition their sound are adding these pointless breakdowns to make their old fans happy and it ends up being pointless because it probably doesn’t do anything for the old fans, instead it makes the song feel very unauthentic and forced. If Wage War doesn’t want to write heavy music anymore they should just do exactly that. It would be better for them and the new fans they’re trying to acquire.
