Why Does God Let Bad Things Happen?

Where have you seen God show up in face of evil or something bad?

A few years ago, my 30 year marriage ended, my oldest son died, and moved to another home all within 3 months. I'm still asking God why?

Oh my word we are so sorry to hear about your loses. Just one of those things would be devastating, but together they are truly tragic. Those are always the moments we ask “why God”. The world we live in has painful moments that break our hearts. While we may never understand why they happened, we can understand where God is when they happen. He loves us and walks with us through the tragic times. He offers comfort and peace that is beyond our understanding. 18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. However, address more about the children caught in the fire from Israel in the Gaza Strip and why are they being allowed to be hurt etc

Caryn, it was these very painful stories that broke our hearts and propelled us to make this episode in the first place. There are no perfect answers and no blanket statements that anyone can make that will satisfy this question. However the episode addresses all evil in this world including what you mentioned. All evil is tragic and a part of this broken world. As Christians we cling to Jesus and we seek to bring his light to even the darkest corners of this world. We do this while we await for Christ’s return and his ultimate restoration. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. Romans 8:18 Caryn you do not need to be burden by these thoughts alone. Woohoo! Matt! #teamwestshore No premier this time. We back in because it's easier to pull out of a spot then back out since no one ever sees you backing out. Always odd to me how I can get worked about about one situation, at the same time I feel guilty when there is something I feel I should be worked up about but I don't have much feeling at all about it. Then god is not all knowing. If god is all knowing wouldn't he know what would happen if he tested us?

@@sks-wv4oyyes hes supposed to know everything and everything but out of all billions of species thats why we have free conscious and free will so he may not actually know what will you exactly do otherwise it would be like testing out robots or animals but he can do anything thats why hes God so he always try putting people in hardships or blessings all different for everyone to test their will and would they still have faith or protest in hardship? or when they get wealth or luck will they forget God and indulge in sins ? and whole point why God hides and never shows himself is if he did everyone already woulve feared him and obeyed remember this supposed to be very very short life on earth for a TEST to continue in afterlife which is forever. if your prayers go thru all the time how the hell would it be test? right? hes not supposed to be your daddy God test your faith in his existence by not showing up intentionally but always counting it all IS THE PROMISE so you decide thats why we given consciousness if he really exists he will all see us
