ok first of... when Gohan and goku turned into a giant ape he'd rip through his clothes everytime... and they didn't magically reappear when they turned back... also most of these answers if not all are kinda just your way of seeing things... pure saiyans hair is supposed to never change it's length or style, even though young vegetas hair looks a little different, gokus has never changed and he has had it cut in fights... so even if Vegeta cut it for some reason it would grow back almost immediately... Gokus hair turns back to black, his original hair color, and vegeta states that pure blooded saiyans are supposed to have black hair and in fact even though at first vegetas hair was brownish they changed it to black for the final version, so why does it turn brown and not black? also I didn't ask why the fur is red or why the eyes are yellow... I asked why are they a different shade of red and their eyes are also different colors, regular super saiyan does change them yes, but they are all yellow hair with green eyes... and not different shades of yellow... the same yellow... I didn't ask about Gogetas hair color I said the hairstyle, when vegeta turns super saiyan his hairstyle doesn't change, and gogetas hairstyle resembles vegetas more than gokus, so why does his ss4 look more like goku when it comes to the forehead... you could say that gogetas base form hair is something similar to gotenks where the sides are purpleish and the center is black, except both goku and vegeta have black hair so that would mean gogeta has on fact fully black hair in his base... also I just remembered gokus ssj3 hair even looks a lot like vegetas forehead so why does ssj4 gogeta get gokus ssj4 hair instead of a combination of vegetas and gokus... I didn't ask these questions for some smartass to try and answer, they are to point out these things make no sense and are never really explained...

I'm pretty sure the real answer is pretty simple and boring. From his looks, Gogeta's hair is almost identical to SSJ4 Goku's hair. He also has Goku's height. So I guess they wanted his color scheme to be closer to Vegeta's, that being red fur and brown hair, opposed to Goku's black hair and kinda rose fur. I'm pretty sure they just accidentally flipped his color palette, thought it looks better and just kept it. The fact that he has Vegeta's eye color also kinda hints at his color plalette being Vegeta's.

GT is not canon Battle of Gods is Canon Attacks in GT and plot points seem "more high powered" than Battle of Gods, EXCEPT for Whis. Hey, I have a theory on DBGT that I'd like you to think about: The Super Saiyan lines. So far we have 3 Super Saiyan lines: Super Saiyan 1, 2, 3 and 4 + Ultra Legendary Super Saiyan Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan What if Super Saiyan 4 was its own SSJ line AND was a base form since, to me, it looks like an Oozaru mutation and technically, Oozaru is a "base" form since it can transform into a Super Saiyan Oozaru (Golden Oozaru) as well. So tl;dr, Super Saiyan 4 is a mutation of the Oozaru transformation and is a new Base form.

The thoughts that went into this theory are obviously more than the designers made, especially since it tries to make sense of the red hair with lore that wouldn't be thought up until a decade later after the hair color was decided. I think what he was getting at is that the power of Vegeta+Goku in a single Saiyan body is basically an overflow of power, basically causing Gogeta's base form to be SSJ1, but that's not the case with Gotenks because Goten and Trunks individually aren't nearly as powerful as Goku and Vegeta, therefore Gotenks is much more inferior than Gogeta. The flaw in that theory is that Goku and Vegeta are much more powerful in DBS, so that logic would imply that some form of SSJ would have to be their base form. Personally, I think he's reading too much into the Gogeta fusion and ignoring the idea of just making that particular scene in Fusion Reborn more intense, while also saving money because then they don't have to animate him transforming.

SeaBiscuit Toriyama considers it to be canon he will not rewrite it. He said it himself he considers it to be part of his Dragonball history as he calls it. That is why Dragonball Super takes place after the Buu saga. He has no plans to replace GT. Though at this point how do you explain SSG and SSJ4 he would be better off just to completely nullify GT entirely. Although with the idea of a multiverse being introduced in Battle of Gods he could just say GT takes place in another universe.

Well what made sense to me is that usually I thought that ssj4 hair would depend on your base hair color so gogeta a hair color could be red in base or since he is so fast right when there was light he might have zoomed like the flash to get a hair dye and throw it behind him and then when the light went away he has red hair

it's not ssj5 actually there is ascended ssj before the next form assj is technically 2 ssj forms so if you can have 2 ssj4s together it's known as Ascended SSJ4

To defend the first theory, there was a scene in GT Bulma states that’s Vegeta could reach a Super Saipan 5, maybe it was light foreshadowing. I am not sure if the show was supposed to continue on after Goku went with Shenron, or if Goku was supposed to pass on at at, but either way it could’ve been the next step for GT.

Actually, that is *not* true about the base*base = Ssj 1. Gogeta is not canon, so the base*base = Ssj is not credible 2. Base Trunks*Base Goten does not = Ssj Gotenks 3. Base power*Base power = Base power multiplied. Essentially your power is increased drastically, but nowhere states that it also transforms you. And Ssj is a transformation that essentially multiplies your power. However, transformation is not the same thing as powering up. The Fusion fuses two people's powers; not a transformation. Interesting theories though xD I like the Ssj God theory, but sadly I think Ssj God is not that simplistic to create. I think you need the 5-6 saiyans' powers to consistently link powers. It would be too strange that you can carry other people's ki within you as if it weren't yours.
