Hi Mike I use your lesson to teach Bible study. Two questions, 1) Are all parables about the Kingdom? I don't understand when you say 7 are about the Kingdom. Please explain how they differ if they all are about Jesus and his Kingdom. 2) I thought I read a parable in Matthew before I got to the 13 chapter. Did not Jesus start teaching in parables only after the push back - or did he tell one or some before that? I'm sure I read one in Matthew before Chapter 13. Thanks for all your help.

Not all parables are about the kingdom (i.e.Widow & Judge - perseverance in prayer - Luke 18:1-8; Pharisee & Tax Collector - Attitude in prayer - Luke 18:9-14). Jesus used parables to teach on many different topics. However, the topic of the kingdom comes up most often in the parables (13 out of a possible 43 - 46 parables - not all agree on the exact number). The first parable spoken by Jesus is the one about the sower and the seed which appears in Matthew 13:1-23. No parables mentioned in Matthew before that one. - MM

Let me get this straight...the 1,000 years is not actually a 1,000 years, and our “final destination” is to be part of the “godhead”? Is there a Scripture to support this?

1 Corinthians 15:24; Ephesians 2:6 Only strict literalists consider 1000 years to be a number and not a symbol. They must also make literal sense of all the imagery in Revelation to be consistent. - MM

The Bible teaches that God loves everyone, that’s true (John 3:16), however, it also says that God considers sex between men or between women a sin (1 Corinthians 6:9). - MM
