My cat began to make biscuits on only my left breast… I didn’t think anything of it, until I found a small lump. I found out I had breast cancer. He only started doing it right before I was diagnosed. I think he knew there was something wrong when it first happened. He’s my sweet boy, and I believe he was trying to let me know something was wrong.

My male cat “abandoned” by his mom w/cord still attached is 9 years old now and kneads and bites on blankets all the time. He has a blanket he drags around the house and will straddle it while kneading and biting like the cat in the video. He kneads and usually bites other fluffy blankets as well, he doesn’t knead on me too much. Both my cats 10 yr old female and him are fixed but she does not really knead on blankets. She will knead on me however. She was raised by her mama till she was over 2 months old. Both cats were fixed as kittens IDK if the boy has some abandonment issues as well and that’s another reason he kneads and bites so much.

I can tell you the cat biting the blanket in the video was actually masturbating. We had a rather late fixed male cat which did the same with all our couch pillows. Male cats bite females' necks and knead their backs to prepare and relax them. When our cat has kneaded the pillows for a few minutes you actually saw him rubbing his... You know... So Lo yeah I always thought that was the reason. Just something people may deal with when they have fostered cats I guess. I always wondered if his litter mates had similar issues but the lady that took care of them retired from the center. My friend had found the kittens at work and the director took them in and rehoused them mostly to her family. I got Runty who was found on the second day apart from where his siblings were found so even that IDK if they were truly abandoned or mama was trying to get things together and find food or something or if she left Runty to die, was trying to save him or what.

My neighbors cat (outdoors only cat) is about 12 years old. We have a cat door that leads from the outside to the garage and then another door that goes inside the house. My 16 yr old kitty passed away about 9 months ago, she hated my neighbors cat. The next door neighbors cat started coming in about 3 weeks ago and he never wants to leave my room! He kneads on me at night on my chest and wants to sleep on top of me all the time. He eats in my room and decided to use my old cats untouched litterbox (it was clean) in my room as well. He just made himself at home and when I let him out to the front, he just uses the cat door to get back into my room a few hours later.

I never had any cats in my life (I'm more of a dog person), but recently my neighbor's cat, every time she is out, always comes to greet me if I'm in my backyard. She meows a lot, rubs herself on my legs and purrs. She never leaves. I'm the one who always had to close the door. I've tried offering her food, but apparently she doesn't want any (she's well fed and her fur is shiny), she's more interested in me petting her ALL the time. Yesterday I allowed her to come into my home and she smelled everything before she plopped herself by my side on the sofa. When I started to work on the laptop, she blocked me, put herself on top of the keyboard and then went straight for my lap and started kneading my belly. I had no clue what that meant, so I picked her up and decided it was best to put her outside again, in case the owners missed her, and told her to go home. It was hard, because she kept wanting to come back in and I was afraid to hurt her while I was trying to close the door. I never had a cat interact like this with me before (again, I never had any cats), so now watching this video, I'm starting to feel like she adopted me!

Yes. I feel blessed. My kitty loves my hair (which is very long) ever since she was little. She has to have it the way she wants and I don’t mind. My cat kneads everytime I put a blanket on my lap. Many sites say it because they have anxiety or are bored. I inherited her after my Mom passed. I am retired, wasn't a cat person (had German Shepherds), but she has captured my heart. She gets plenty of attention. And so smart. I trained to "roll over" in only 3 days! First, sit. Then lay down. Then roll over. It took me longer to train my German Shepherds to do that! She is a senior now, just like me. She kneads and purrs, it is definitely a sign of affection. 😊 She was a rescue and probably weaned too early (according to many experts). I'm glad she thinks of me as her Mom, it comforts her I suppose.

I saw a program explaining how researchers believe domestic cats and dogs are essentially forever "juvenile". Mentally they stay in a kitten/puppy state of mind and never really grow up. That's why they stay so friendly and playful and would also likely explain why adult cats still like to knead, kittens do it while they breast feed to massage milk out of mama.

My 18 month old cat kneads my arm very aggressively and forcefully and sucks my jumper at the same time. He digs his claws in and draws blood. He starts off standing up with his backside in my face then eventually lies down and carries on. He will do it for hours if I let him. I can't move or do anything while he is doing all this. He usually does it after he has been outside for some hours, on his little adventures. He was desexed last year and he doesn't venture far from home. He is very loving and funny and we have our own humorous games we play. When he is in for the night he sleeps on my bed, but has other places in the house he sneaks away to when he wants to sleep alone. It's just the aggressiveness of the kneading and his sharp nails that bother me, and how long it goes on for. He does appear to be in a hypnotic state when he does the kneading and his eyes are glazed over. He purrs while he's doing it.

It's a self comforting behavior I believe. I think a lot of single orphaned kittens ars the one who usually do it. But other cats do it as well. It probably just makes her happy. So she continues doing it. As long as she isn't eating to the blanket she'll probably be just fine. Otherwise talk to a vet. It sounds adorable though 😊😺

My cat kneads when he is close to me, kneads my blanket, then lays by me, behind me, etc. I’ve even around him his whole life. Most likely for comfort and because he cares about me, but the only thing different is he doesn’t purr whilst kneading, so more or less for comfort.
