What if I told you there was a way to EFFORTLESSLY add 30 YARDS of distance to your shots? You’d probably think I was crazy, or lying, or both!
Well this SIMPLE set-up trick was used by the greatest golfer of all time and allowed him to hit the ball farther than anyone else from his generation. Fast forward fifty years and the best players in the world are utilising this MAGIC MOVE to help them swing FASTER and hit FURTHER.
What is it…? A simple TURN and TILT of your head to the side as you set-up can pre-set the perfect backswing position allowing you to maximise your body turn and create more potential power. Many of you who try this for the first time will experience a longer swing than you ever thought possible, without any of the usual aches and pains that you usually feel every time you swing the golf club.
Sound to good to be true? Well you need to see it to believe it, then try it to achieve! I’ll show you how I helped a player add 30 yards and 5mph of club head speed to there swing in the space of just ONE SWING with this simple piece of advice. Once you’ve seen this, you’ll want to get out there and try this for yourself!
So if you’re looking for EFFORTLESS POWER with less stress on your joints and you want to feel 30 years younger, then try this simple HEAD TILT trick to add yards and subtract years!

I have watched other "stack and tilt" instructors and I have really come to enjoy your way of presenting the info! You don't over emphasize the fundamentals of the stack and tilt, rather you continually discuss the importance of square club face, low point, and proper set-up and swing path....all without cramming the stack and tilt mantra down our throughts! Anyhoo, love the content and will be a subscriber!

Jack is cross dominant (right handed with left eye dominant). So for the unlucky other 80% of us (btw. 95% of all pro's are cross eye dominant) who are same side dominant, this tip only works when we close our dominant eye and see the ball throug our non dominat eye through the complete swing. Exception would be Jon Rahm or Henrik Stenson. Jim Furyk is also right eye dominant. This is why he had to keep his head still so he can see the ball through his dominant eye not having his nose block the vision when turning his head like a left/lead eye dominant player. This topic is well known and pretty standard if it comes to Shooting/Archery or Pool but only few instructers consider it for golf education

There are different easy ways to test which eye is dominant for anyone, in case anyone out there is not sure what they are or how to tell. I’m right handed but when I raise my laser range finder up to my eye I always use my left eye to scope the target. So, left eye dominant. When I use the range finder with my right eye it just doesn’t feel right. And I still have 20/20 vision in both eyes. I think that answered the question for me.

Hi Rob, I found your channel around 2 weeks ago and I've been glued ever since. I love the drills you set up that I can do at home because I'm new to the game, a Weekend Warrior and only get to play once a week. I've been doing your drills every day after work for 30 -60 minutes using a divot board and flat balls and I can feel a massive improvement in my ball striking already. I was wondering if you could do a video for people like me that essentially would be like a training programme? I.e Day1 do x,y,z drills for x amount of time each. Day 2 do drils a,b and c for x amount of time, and so on. I'm really grateful for the information you've given out and that I have these drills to do at home now. I just thought that you would have a better idea on how to really maximise the potential of these drills for people like me. So after a week of doing them, when it comes to that one game you wait for all week for, you can really play at your best. I was also curious as to whether its a good idea to combine any of your drills or to only concentrate on 1 drill at a time?

Hi Rob. I'm really enjoying your videos. Have really improved my ball striking by putting into practice your material. Keep them coming! I actually just got off of the course and tried this technique as I had watched a similar video you put out a year ago. It really does help to make turning with less strain. I did struggle with this a bit because I'm right eye dominant whereas my understanding is that Jack is left eye dominant. I saw a video recently about Roger Federer and why most people should *not* try to serve like him unless they are left eye dominant like Roger. Anyhow, I'm just wondering whether you have any data around the effectiveness of the technique based on which eye is dominant - even if it's anecdotal. (I personally also struggle with this because I wear glasses so I might try it with contact lenses.) Anyhow, regardless of being right eye dominant and someone who wears glasses, the concept can likely be adapted to help hit better. Again, thanks for your great teaching!

Rob this video changed my golf life. I have never understood keeping head still as you demonstrated. I have always struggled by trying to keep my head still having my head dip forward. No matter what I tried until this video. I implemented pre setting my turn and tilt of head like Nicholas as I find it extremely easy to preset the head position as I simply tilt turn Extend back. Bottom line my head stayed in same spot and went out today and shot a 1 under 70 and my hdcp is 7.7. Awesome awesome video to truly understand how the head moves to stay steady. Can't thank you enough. Plus i am right eye dominant

Golf My Way was the first instruction book I purchased in the mid 80s and I’ve used that technique ever since. Sam Snead had another I use which is looking over the ball and focusing on something there (debris, blade of grass, tee placed outside ball when practicing on the range) instead of fixating on the ball. After trying it I realized the reason. The brain needs a fixed point of visual reference to maintain balance, especially when the head is moving (the inner ear provides balance feedback). The problem with fixating on the ball? It disappears at the most critical part of the swing and the eye will reflexively try to follow it jerking head up out of the shot and you lose your balance reference. Focus past the ball and you will begin to see impact the face sweep the ball off the ground, once you break the habit of following the ball with the eyes. But another balance / vision created swing problem occurs after impact when the shoulder turn forces the head to turn to target. We use leveling eye line to horizon as a balance reference but doing that in the finish pulls the spine and shoulders up and left too soon. Practice turning head without changing the angle of the eyes and seeing the horizon at an angle as the head turns to face the target will result in a more balance swing and straighter shots. I jokingly call it “Faith Based Golf” - if you have faith in your swing why do you need to pop up to see where it goes?

Was able to test this on course. Forgot about it until the last 5 holes after hitting my regular lackluster 190 to 210 yard drives. I employed the Jack chin turn and found extra distance and an unexpected benefit as with extra turn I slowed down and I think I used my body more and these shots were longer and straighter.

I am definitely going to give this one a test drive. The biggest challenge I had with S&T has been with the driver. I am to the point now where I take a pretty abbreviated BS ala John Rahm or Tony Finau and generate as much power as I can with my legs using a power squat move. I have been pretty successful but not getting much outside of 220 on my best drives. Which I am okay with TBH for an older (67) fella. Still I am in good shape for my age with a lot of muscle, strength and decent flexibility so if there is a way too eek out another 20-30 yards and not sacrifice too much on accuracy, I am all for it. Speed training has helped some too, but that can be hard on the old back if you over do it. Great tip Rob...I'll give it a go.

Hello Rob, In case this benefits someone else I thought I would mention, that after wearing varifocal glasses for 30-years I have now had lens implants in both eyes with multifocal lens fitted. What a difference as I no longer need glasses as I can focus at all distances. This has made such a difference to my game, plus it's much easier if it happens to rain while on the course. This is good. Sometimes the golfer may need to side tilt away from the target (if they are trail eye dominant). At the very least they may need to preset the position in the video instead of using it as a trigger. Jack could do this perfectly because he was left eye dominant. Alan

I agree with you for a different reason . Jack used a more narrow stance and still let his left heel come off the ground. His head tilt allowed him to restrict his sway and keep his head behind the ball when he hit it. The left heel going back down was his weight shift, and left hip turn key to the start of his down swing. Unlike most of the great golfers today that shift their left hip over and back Jack did this with his head and left heel... What do you think? It's so hard to really know what another golfer is actually thinking when they swing as it's usually the opposite

@nicolaimortensen7383
@nicolaimortensen7383 10 ай бұрын
Depends on a lot of things. If your shot is starting straight and then moving to the left, it means that the club face is square to the target at impact, but closed to the path. If you want a push draw you can either open the face more relative to the target, which will start the ball further to the right, and it will curve less because of face angle now being closer to club path. If you just want to take some of the curve off of the ball then you need to swing less in to out. How you would go about doing that is impossible to say without a video of your swing.

Jack is left eye domnant so it means he's looking at the ball with his dominant eye. For a right eye dominant golfer who is right handed this doesn't work as it makes it difficult to focus on the ball and the right eye can't see the ball because the nose gets in the way. Jack did it so he could focus on the back of the ball and then drive trough the ball by just letting it get in the way of the clubhead.

Comparing athletes from different eras is fraught with all kinds of difficulties and caveats. While I tend to agree about Tiger (he would have certainly eclipsed Nicklaus’ majors if he had remained healthy) I’m not sure history will see it that way. @Pseudify

@@JG2HTT I suspect so. At the highest level of any sport, the defining characteristic of who is the GOTE (greatest of that era) is not about physical skills, but more about mental toughness. We all know Tiger was virtually unparalleled in that department. But so was Nicklaus. And the fact is, we are all a product of our environment and our era. You put Nicklaus in the 21st century and it’s very likely he would rise to the occasion (why wouldn’t he?), just as if you put Tiger in Nicklaus’ era, he’s still great but maybe doesn’t have the competition and supporting cast needed to propel him to the heights he attained. Also, I think the mental toughness of those Nicklaus contemporaries you mentioned exceeded that of Tiger’s competitors. Also, when I think about some of the things Nicklaus did with the equipment from his era, I’m just in awe of what could have been with modern equipment. His ability with a 1 iron was unreal - especially give the quality of materials, design, and the size of the clubheads at the time.

@@Pseudify I see you can predict the future. Or an alternative timeline. Jack's record in the Majors 56 top 5's Tiger's 38 top 10's. There's no contest Jack's record is far superior. I also think Jack was up against more great players. Palmer 7 Player 9 Trevino 6 Watson 8 Tiger only had Phil 6 to beat who gets on the elite level of 6 Major wins or better. Who knows how many Majors young Tom Morris would have won if he had lived in the modern era. As for players of the 60's and 70's ( Jack's prime ) not having the skills of today's players they probably had more as modern equipment has made the game easier. If you don't agree try playing with 60's clubs and see for yourself. In the real world the only way to judge a player's career is their record and both Tiger and Jack would agree that means in Majors.

Appreciate you videos but I don’t agree with you here. In the example player, he probably shot 20 yards further because his knee points at the ball, moving his center more forward in the swing vs instead his knee being right &outside, making him hitting more behind and likely adding more loft. The game changer is his knee position at the top of the swing… not his head movement…I believe !
