So far, over 811,000 people have signed the petition, which accuses Yoon of mishandling the country’s relationship with North Korea. Worse they fight during their terms and fight with other countries as well. US need someone not in these two parties. Both will bring the country down with their constant fighting and fighting the world. No peace with USA, only death and destruction follows.

As a Korean, he is not doing his job, and with failing everywhere, with the ruling party defending him relentlessly. However, it's understandable that the opposition is reluctant to pursue an impeachment bill, because if the impeachment bill is not upheld in Constitutional Court of Korea, the opposition will face severe scrutiny, which can be a disaster for political career.

It finally started to skyrocket in the 2010s. This takes years. What's the next industry that Korea has to diversify into? You have to grow the economy first. You can't just declare "bring the cost of housing down" and then it automatically happens.

He has failed on many fronts ranging from the economy, stemming the impending collapse of society, scandals tainting his personal image and not to mention the perennial Pyongyang problem. Popular support is turning against him. A hostile parliament opposed to his policies has made him a lame duck president. His party also feels he is a liability. In a nutshell, all the factors weigh against the president and its a matter of when then if.

South Koreans are still waiting for answers about the Gwangju massacre in 1980. Even though many have been given they are not satisfied as things are still being hidden. The S,K Government even blamed N.K for it when it was really a fight for democracy by Korean students. In 2018, South Korea’s defense ministry issued its first-ever apology for the massacre, following a five-month investigation. But many in Gwangju also want an apology from the United States, which at the time had operational control of all South Korean military units. Specifically, many Gwangju residents feel the U.S. could and should have done more to restrain their allies, especially after the South Korean military notified Washington it was moving an elite military unit away from U.S. control to deal with the unrest. “We have asked many times for the U.S. government to apologize … but they haven’t done that so far,” said Lee Jae-eui, who took part in the uprising and later co-authored an influential book on the uprising. In 1980 American trained Korean soldiers killed Korean citizens in a brilliant demonstration of what American training can do to desensitize soldiers of a nation to murder their own kind. By Stuart Smallwood A former mass-murdering dictator notorious for his rule during the Gwangju Massacre and for his unscrupulous theft from the South Korean people was granted a diplomatic travel passport from the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade on September 18. This news comes from a report issued by Congressional Representative Hong Ik-pyo of the opposition Democratic United Party. Oct 2012. The report says former President Chun Doo-hwan Given diplomatic immunity to travel and has been given at least four of these five-year passports since 1988. They allow him to travel abroad immune from arrest despite his myriad crimes committed during his dictatorship and still owing South Korea roughly 149 million dollars of the money he stole during his tenure as military dictator between 1980-1988. His diplomatic status is also notwithstanding his responsibility for between 200 and 1000 deaths in the military suppression of the Gwangju Democratization Movement in May 1980 (with the explicit approval of the US, of course) as well as the torture and repression of countless citizens opposed to his government. And now Chun is globetrotting freely while his next of kin live comfortably within South Korea on money stolen from their fellow citizens. This is, of course, a trend for American allied countries. Just as people stood horrified at the Tiananman Square Massacre in 1989 yet to this day know very little about Gwangju (though the incidents were equal in severity) people howl about the human rights abuses of North Korea, but turn a blind eye to the United State’s own crimes. This includes the sanctions placed on Iran and North Korea that only lead to starvation of the common people and those sanctions that killed half a million Iraqi children in the 1990′s.
