Thank you Capt. Abel for show us the harvest, work, and ALL that goes into getting stone crabs!!! You summed it up: "It's a LOT of work!!!" All we know is they are expensive and they taste good! The fact that you weigh them, discard the "floaters", and don't overcharge; says you're an honest man. I've got to contact you soon! ("From the ocean to your table, call Abel!")

Alfred I have been loving the videos with both Abel and fisherman Joe! This really makes me miss living down in SoFla! Sadly the people of FL voted my job of 30 years out of existence, and I could not find a job that paid me enough to live there...... Great videos though. Keep up the amazing work. Wish all the best for you, Abel, and Joe!

Wow! Yes now I know why crab and lobsters are so expensive. I've only had crab legs frozen from Wally World. But now there is a shortage of crab legs from up north, for some reason "Probably Polution" the snow crabs are dissapearing at an alarming rate. Capt. Abel is a Boss! That man has forgotten more about crabs and lobsters than many people know.

Loved & learned so much from this video. Thanks. When Hurricane Ian was heading to Tampa we went to beach to help a relative at the beach. I gave a neighbor 10 1gal bags full of stone crab claws in case we lost power in Tampa. The beach was fine. Lost power here. He had a party & ate all my claws. That hurt.

What another great video, Alfred! You were so lucky to finally get to go out with able and we all were so lucky to see this whole process. I thank you for this video and I really think they’re great ones when you actually go out, like hands on operations. I can only imagine what it would cost to ship a box of those to the Chi town area, your so lucky to be close to the good stuff and you two made my mouth water 😢😢😂😂 THANKS AGAIN, Ron

I think you misunderstood him about calling it a floater when you where eating it. He didn't mean floater like the dead crabs from the traps. He meant after the crab molts it has less meat and floats when cooked. Love the video as usual !

Circa 2007-ish we used to eat them all, not just claws. I remember father of my friend, dead now, rest in peace, used to catch these crabs in Biscayne Bay, and we would cook them whole. Claws and body, everything. Very tasty.

What a great video. Had no idea of the hard work. Awesome fellow explaining the process. When I am in MIA area I go to Joe's, very epensive but my company picks up the tab. I recall my wife coming with me on MIA business trip. I told her about Joe's. Well is a Saturday crowded and when I went to ask for table I wsa told 2hr wait. Went back to my wife, she disappeared and I heard my name where my wife said we have a table. I guess Joe's mistook my wife as a celebrity. As for me I am a bum.
