Oh no this podcast is stellar. You are feeding the hungry. Many thousands. We must share this podcast far and wide. Don't keep the good food to ourselves. This is a young person who will attract young people. And a handsome one as well.

What a blessed time for me to have discovered your liturgy of the hours (I was browsing through Spotify typing l.a.u.d.s and lo and behold I found your "sing the Hours"!). I say this is a blessed time because I just moved from the city to the mountains on a solitary pilgrim journey, in a tiny hermitage. I am 62 years old, and I believe this is the life of retirement my God wants me to live. A contemplative life in the mountains! So, thank you dear one, for such a wonderful, wonderful ministry of singing the hours! I continue to pray the lauds and vespers with you... Blessings! God alone suffices🙏🏽

I absolutely adore #singthehours ...and now, chants and rants...thank you SO MUCH. I gave up secular talk radio for lent this year, and went to sleep listening to Catholic radio one evening, and was awakened in the morning to your singing. I went from slumber to WOW...song. I was mesmerized...and hooked! Always have loved Gregorian chant, and this put me over the top.Your singing. Your group. May God continue to bless you and yours abundantly. You are amazing. I sincerely mean that.🙏🏻❤🔥

Thank you. I was wondering why Psalm 95 is repeated. Also wondering why substitute psalms can be read (e.g. 100, 67, 27). I imagine an Ordo would help me figure out the readings, as I am usually alone when I pray. On Saturday mornings I get to join a church group where there is a priest who leads the chanting and a leader who tells us what page we should be on. Benediction follows afterwards. It's a beautiful thing.

I use the Universalis app and I let it automatically cycle through Psalm 95, 100, 67, and 24. So my invitatory psalm is different each day (one of those four). But maybe I should use Psalm 95 every day for a while.

In the LOTH, since its inception, has Psalm 95 and three others choices for Invititory Psalm, but I always use 95, as it has been memorized.
@chantsandrants Жыл бұрын
To my knowledge the other options are new additions to the GILH. the LOTH before the 1970’s only had psalm 95 as the Invitatory.

Unless I missed it, I would love for you to have a video on how to sing psalm 95 in English and Latin. I know you're adding the psalms in order but....could we skip ahead for psalm 95 😊. I'd love to sing this in the morning before I pray the Office.

I think it is called the "invitatory" psalm............not "invidatory" as you stated Paul! Sorry for being pedantic, but better right than wrong!
