I actually flew the real deal the DA50 and DA90 series great planes and the EX version is a better weight thrust ration than the other versions. Also to make it more “aviation terminology” the reason of 3 engines was for the ETOPS (Extended Twin Operation) or EROPS (Extended Range Operations) so. Ask ally depending on the certification you would be “ETOPS/EROPS 60 min. 120 min. 180 min. 240 min. 330 min up to lately 370 min. It all depends on the certification of the aircraft and the operator Which means that if you fly a two engines airplane you have to be able to fly and reach an alternate within these given time should you have an engine failure. While any plane with more than two engines will not have to follow the rule. We have our own way for the acronym which would stand for Engine Turning Or Passengers Swimming ! 😉

How old is that plane? There are no winglets at the wingtips? Also the 6X-9X models all have interior seating arrangements in club seating, conference seating, a couch/bed, and a washroom. I'm pretty sure… This is obviously an older and smaller bottle but I'm pretty sure that most of their models are actually what I just described but just with different performance characteristics

That’s a 50EX with a Proline 21 upgrade. There also should have been a light on the warning panel when engine 2 was shut down for takeoff. Being centerline thrust (no differential pull to one side) the warning light (with an audible gong) is the only thing the crew would notice in the event of a center engine failure on take of (unless they’re looking at the engine indications while taking off, but chances are they’re looking out the window). Also, it’s called a ‘lav’ , not ‘bathroom’.
@danahaselgrove827110 ай бұрын
Are you a pilot? The PNK is supposed to be monitoring engine parameters to monitor for engine malfunctions. If your PLA is above 84% and N1 decreases below 82%, for 10 sec, you will get an ENG 2 OUT CAS message to let you know. Rarely seen as the PNF calls for an about well before that 10 secs so a mute point. Now do you have any idea what I am talkig about?
@customfabrications10 ай бұрын
The light on the warning panel says ‘ENG 2 FAIL’. yes, you’re correct about throttle vs N1 and the time delay. I was keeping it simple for the casual viewer. But if the engine is shut down, the N1 is less than 82, so the light would be on. In fact, the flight manual has the crew check this by advancing the throttle to full power and making sure the light comes on. And this is done prior to starting the engines. The light also comes on if the S-duct door isn’t closed. The function of the light warning of engine 2 rolling back on takeoff only works on the ground, whereas the function of the light for the S-duct door works on ground or in flight. So, no I’m not a pilot; I’m a technician. And yes, I’m very familiar with this light, and all the other lights on the panel. Also, the ‘t’ in Dassault is silent.@@danahaselgrove8271
@danahaselgrove827110 ай бұрын
I'm instructor at Flight Safety on the 900LX and teach Initial clients and recurrent classes and I have never heard of the full power check you mentioned. The flight manual that you reference is called CODDE 1 and CODDE 2. I will check on it. The S duct door is not associated with the Red Warning Eng 2 Fail. Its a separate micro switch to initiate the warning and will come on at any time the door is not latched closed. Normally with WOW and with #2 engine failure, the 10 second delay takes care of the red CAS message because the thrust lever is retarded way prior to 10 sec below V1.. If the takeoff is continued implying that the aircraft is close to V1 speed and will be airborne or Weight Off wheels by the end of the 10 secs, nothing is noted until 400 feet as Eng 2 Fail Amber case message is inhibited until 400 feet then appears. Yes the T is silent. @@customfabrications
@customfabrications10 ай бұрын
First of all, the 900LX is not a F50. They’re both tri-jets, but other than that, very different. Second, the flight manual is NOT the CODDE manuals. They are different manuals. You would think a flight instructor would know this. Third, the EASy platforms display CAS messages, whereas the non-EASy aircraft have a warning panel. So some warning panel lights have dual purpose. Like the ‘ENG 2 FAIL’ light has two purposes as I described. In the Falcon 50 flight manual, after APU start, in the engine pre start checks, the crew is to check that the ‘ENG 2 FAIL’ light is not illuminated, (to verify the S-duct door is closed), then do a check of that light, and the ‘NO TAKE OFF’ light. To do this, the crew advances the #2 throttle to take-off power; observe the ‘NO TAKE OFF’ light, and then 10 sec later observe the ‘ENG 2 FAIL’ light. Again, this is before main eng start. The 900LX (EASy) checklist does not have this step (because it’s not a F50). Funny, I also am a FS instructor, and teach engine run and taxi to maintenance technicians. I use the flight manual for this training. I also teach the 2000EASY AND 900EASY. Are you in Tet, or DFW? Or France? Just curious. But trust me, there are major differences between the F50 and an EASy platform.@@danahaselgrove8271
@danahaselgrove827110 ай бұрын
I have no idea anything about a 50. The 900 LX was mentioned and that was the only aircraft I was talking about. You’re right, the aircraft manuals are not CODDE, it’s the AFM. However the systems are all in CODDE 1 and procedures that are taught from power off to power on to Eng start, Taxi lineup and on and on… Yes the 900LX is different from the antiquated 50 and B and C. Even different from the Ex and DX. It’s an LX PERIOD!

Long story short, they falcon needs 3 engines to access places other private jets can’t access at higher elevations and higher temperature take off’s that require more power. The extra engine makes flying in all types of weather and elevation changes with no problem and has a better take off performance for short runways.
