Actually, the "weird" thing about fasting on bread & water is how EASY it gets once you start. I used to be a real "foodie" but since fasting, that's completely fallen away from me (as in it doesn't even hold my interest anymore). On non-fast days, I'm more thoughtful/mindful about what I eat (& like right now, I can eat whatever I want but I don't WANT anything) & on fasting days, there are so many breads to choose from, it's barely a sacrifice. Also when you're eating plain bread, you start to actually taste what's in it & I'm never hungry on fast days (Blessed Mother didn't limit how much bread you can eat or what type & you'll be surprised at how much it doesn't take to fill you up!) Our times are perilous so if you want to give fasting a try, PLEASE DO. Start off small & simple, ie: replace your cup of coffee/tea with a glass of water in the morning & eat a plain bagel, eat lunch & dinner as usual. Next week, replace your lunch with sparkling water & some Naan; week after that, substitute your dinner for biscuits and water. Grocery stores, bakeries & restaurants offer great breads & additional bonuses: your grocery bill & waistline will both shrink! :) Hope you'll give fasting a try & join the Marian "bread-fast club". ;)

I started fasting 2 months ago on Wednesday and Friday ..bread and water with 1 cup of coffee in the morning.It has not been that bad and i love food ...i tryed it with out the coffee but wow i am much better with it ...Wednesday was no problem but Friday at 5:00 i would become grumpy and iam not a grumpy person ...but now Friday's go by and not grumpy anymore...so i am thinking about adding another day to my fast...

Dara! Everything you said was my experience as well. Only difference I didn’t feel free to try different breads. I stayed with what we had and would nibble nibble nibble. Not as hard as I thought and it is amazing how much I could taste the SALT! I’m changing the whole family to a low salt bread (I’m new to fasting). I feel like I could live the rest of my life in a state of fasting, I’m sure it is only easy because I’m inspired by our Mother but like everything it might get harder ;0 we shall see.

I'm on a diet and have cut carbs tremendously. Is it ok to 'fast and abstain' from TV or FB or something else? I'm afraid the bread will throw me off.

I did a 9 day fast on 3 pieces of bread a day and water during COVID jobless time and since then til now twice a week every week. I can't tell you how many graces and a healing that happened!! But even during 2 day fasts weekly there is a protective shield around me with regards to temptations and that is a special grace.

I would like to say to those who can't go, I converted just by watching a tv program about it and that was in 1999. I started fasting right away. It took me a while to get a book about Medjugorje because I didn't know where and how to get Catholic books. Once I got the book, I was scared to read it but I ended up reading it which inspired me to pray the Rosary.

I am compelled now to share this information about a Rosary I was given. This Rosary came from Medgejoria, given to me by a co-worker. She stated she had brought back a few but only shares them people she knows will pray them. After praying I sometimes place the Rosary around my neck. One day I was visiting a dear friend and she observed me wearing my Rosary. She asked me about it and I told the story what was told to me. That these Rosaries are made in Medgejoria and are left overnight at the site where she appeared and they are blessed in this manner by our dear Blessed Mother Mary herself. My friend asked me if she could "hold" my Rosary. I allowed her and she replied "This Rosary is very special and it had definitely been blessed by Mother Mary". I asked her how did she know? She proceeded to tell me my Rosary has the warmth and heartbeat of a human. Since discovering the magic in my Rosary, out of curiosity I ordered a Rosary specifically made from the stones that Blessed Mother Mary stood above in Medgejoria, and YES! They have the same warmth and heartbeat. I am not able to feel as my friend can, but since that time I have encountered at least 5 people that can feel the heartbeat and warmth. Since these people were already close to me I have gifted them with Rosaries from Medgejoria. Before I handed them the Rosary initially, I did not tell them anything. So I know this is definitely real. I want to ask if others out there can feel what my family and friends can, and share their stories about Medgejoria's magical Rosaries.

Please you are wrong . Don't term rosaries as "magical". Rosaries are not magic or magical . They may have experienced special signs of Our Lady or the maternal love of the Blessed Virgin. But there is no magic to it.

P.S. I had similar experiences as Aron before he left for Medjugorje with the “beast”always before I went on missions with Marino Restrepo for his conversion testimonies. Like Aron, I lived in the Holyland but never experienced the miracles and peace and love of Mother Mary as I experienced in Medjugorje for just the Easter weekend nineteen ninety {the number nine doesnt work on my ipad}. Medjugorje is a very special, unique place and Mother Mary’s presence is very strong there - I can testify to this with my conversion experience. I didn’t want to return home and pleaded/prayed to be able to stay longer.

I loved what one local told me to say to people discerning to come to such a place (a little taste of heaven on earth truly). If you feel a deep desire and a calling to go, ask for discernment on it, the Lord will make it clear in your heart what you should do. Answer to our Lady's invitation to go, and when you come back, you will know how spiritually fulfilling it was for your soul for yourself. Miracles happen there, but I don't want to list my own miracles because it isn't about the miracles you see and receive. The most important part of Medjugorje is Adoration. Speaking to Jesus with your heart. Opening yourself to our Blessed Mother. And praying to give your free will and complete self to the Eternal one. God bless you for having the desire to go. The feeling of peace there is amazing! I went there twice, 2006 about 1.5 years after my reversion back to the Faith, and 2010 with mom, dad, and my older brother. Dad died 5 years later. I went in a group with a Canadian Indigenous Native Catholic Deacon, really cool prayerful man! A true blessing to travel there!

I went to Medjugorje for the first time last year. The entire trip was filled with Miracles. I came back in such a state of peace. One concept that stuck in my head was that no matter what happens at the Vatican, the heart and soul of Holy Mother church is strong and safe in Medjugorje. To test this, I would love to visit other apparition sites and see if I come away with the same feeling. But, at the same time, I feel like there is no need use up money and time that could be better spent on another trip to Medjugorje. Anybody know any good real estate agents in Medjugorje? ; )

What a wonderful story. Yes it is true. I too have visited 3 times. Our Lady gave me the last visit for free (free for me as l got a gift of the best trip of my life). For those who don't not believe no evidence will convince them but for those who believe no evidence is required. The fruit of Medjugorje is that our lives have changed and we want to work for God here on earth. Our faith is strengthen and we have the courage to stand up to others and proclaim that God does exist and that he is truly allowing Our Blessed Mother to come to Medjugorje to help us and prepare us for these times. With such Good so too is evil but be not afraid our The power of the Hail Mary can stop him. Simple calling on Jesus to help and Jesus instantly helps. St Michael too so don't worry and waist time pondering on the devil but turn to God and surrender your life to him. Don't be afraid to go back to confession..... I go once a week it's like therapy.... if you find a really good priest he can become your spiritual director ....there's no pain in it only freedom you get closer to Jesus and your soul gets cleaned out..... don't be afraid the priest will not be mean he'll be lovely and Christ like..... confession is better than anything in the world besides the Holy Eucharist💜💜💜 go for it

Please, please go to confession. Daily Rosary is wonderful, but it doesnt substitute for confession. I have also beeb fearful of confession once. Ask the Blessed Mother to help you. The Lord is calling us to Holiness.

I convinced him to go...he went.... the priest said to him welcome back my son what made you come back and he said my good friend urged me and he said well you have a good friend..... then my friend Brad said it was Flawless and beautiful he told this priest the nastiest of sins the priests had mercy no judgment just forgiveness and actually helped him to live a better life..... don't be afraid most of the priests have heard it all..... we all have horrible wretched sins in our souls..... I still have sins I haven't confessed yet.....and I'm old I have to find a priest I don't know behind the screen to confess ..... it's a way to free your soul to get to heaven eventually..... it won't hurt you.... you'll feel so much better when you come out💜👣💜

The point that gets missed is that God can make good out of bad. I came to the Church through a banned apparition (unbeknownst to me at the time). We could say that it was one of the "fruits" of the banned apparition or we can give God his due credit.

When I went to Medjugorje in 1997, after the Apparition one evening, we all ran off of Apparition Hill...the whole group of hundreds of people. We do not know how that could have happened because of the rocks, but I think we were all carried down by our angels and the joy and laughter was awesome. The priests in the group were yelling, "how are we doing this?" It was so much fun. God and Mary have a sense of humor. I just thought of this Scripture, Song of Songs 2:8f: “Listen! My beloved! Behold, he is coming, Climbing on the mountains, Leaping on the hills! 9“My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Behold, he is standing behind our wall, He is looking through the windows, He is peering through the lattice. 10 My beloved spoke and said to me, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, come with me. 11 See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. 12 Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land. 13 The fig tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance. Arise, come, my darling; my beautiful one, come with me.”

thank you how beautiful, I had a similar experience coming down Mount Krisavec. We were singing and running also. A strange thing happened in that we seemed to come down in record time. I went to Medjugorje two years ago and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. I say this as a lifelong diehard Marian Catholic,. I was thrilled to be going there and had to overcome great travel anxiety. I felt no sense of peace, and that in fact made it all the more tremendously painful given all I have heard and prayed for. Fr Leon told me in reconciliation that perhaps that I did not need the graces and that is why I did not experience them. Many have told me I would experience the graces later, but I am still waiting.... well, at least waiting to be aware of them. Despite all, I have no doubts that our Blessed Mother appears there. A Great deal had to do with the pilgrimage director who was more interested in taking us to innumerable talks, keeping us from finding time to actually. Rather than praying, we had to get everywhere two hours early to make sure we were upfront. She got greatly upset at anyone who tried to sneak off for private prayer. I did get to the Blue Cross a few times, very early in the morning. I am guessing another trip there would be just about impossible given the world as it is.. and I’m leery of pilgrimages!.

I know at Kibeho, the visionaries in ecstasy did not blink in the face of camera flashes and, sadly, they were pricked with pins but did not feel pain. For me, personally, re: apparitions I rely on discernment: are the messages in-line with the Gospel & in-tandem with traditional Church teaching? If not, I ignore, but if so, I pay attention because in all previous (approved) apparitions, the main problem has always been that no one believes & no one listens (& then what Blessed Mother warned comes to pass & THEN it gets approved too late!) I'd rather be mocked as a fool for paying attention, discerning & heeding than to ignore & be labeled as an unbeliever by the Holy Trinity & Blessed Mother after the fact, you know? I was also told that apparitions are approved only after they've stopped; Medjugorje apparitions are ongoing so I don't think they'll be approved any time soon. Actually Our Lady's 5 stones or requests She stated in Medjugorje to live by are quite in line with Traditional Catholic teachings and they are prayer ( rosary), reading sacred scripture ( especially the Gospels), fasting on bread and water ( Wednesdays and Fridays) holy mass, and confession. Can't get any more Traditional Catholic teachings than that. And yes, it won't be fully approved until her apparitions have ceased. And God bless you dear Dara🙏🙏😊

Father Ripperger, an excorcist has stated that some modern apparitions are not of our Mother because even the Devil can pretend to be her to sway people from the approved apparritions and from pilgrimages of Fatima and others like it. Its a distraction. Maybe the first few in Medjugorjre may be real, but for Our Holy Mother to make appearances every month for years and years, decades... like a postal office, is a bit absurd.

When I heard about Medjugorje, I immediately believed what was happening. Before I went to Medjugorje, I visited an Evangelical Church and an individual handed me some anti-Catholic literature. Even at a glance, I could tell this was corrupt information and so I decided to respond to the pastor of this Church. I thought this would be easy, but not so much. I was having trouble writing the letter. I had heard about Medjugorje and visited there in 1990. The things that were going on were most interesting. These included many miracles, healings, peoples silver rosary links turning to Gold in color and people seeing the miracle of the sun. I had no trouble believing that these things were happening; however, they were not happening to me. One of the messages that really impressed me in Medjugorje is when Mary asked us to pray for children and so each day, I threw out a little prayer on behalf of the children. In my growing up, I never had anything against children. It is just that, I am guy and so I never paid any attention to them. What happened to me as a result of praying for the children simply amazed me. I started noticing children. I thought when you prayed for children that children would be changed and yet, I was the one who was being changed. I think that sometimes children have spiritual radar and they would approach me. Where before, I tolerated children, now I feel like I am the most honored of persons to have the privilege of the company of children. For me it was a little slice of Heaven. I realized that rosaries turning to Gold and the many miracles of the sun could not compare with my miracle where Jesus and Mary changed my heart and now, I have the joy of experiencing children. It also seemed that the children, who wanted my attention did not seem to have the best of fathers or no father at all. To this day, I continue to pray for children every day and now it is more than a token prayer. There is one other thing that happened and that was the issue of the letter that I was having trouble writing. I actually had given up on it a couple of times. I firmly believe that I received grace from Medjugorje that helped me finish my first letter. It was going to be my only letter, but then I realized that I should write just one more letter to the pastor of this Church. I wrote the letter and have been writing and researching the Church ever since. It only took me one year to write my first 8-page letter to this Evangelical Church. Now, I have roughly 300 writings in defense of the Catholic Church. I am very grateful for Medjugorje. ____________________________________________________

But if the Church directly denies its supernatural origin, then one can be sure Devil has its hands in the picture. If this is the case, why would the Devil hate its own work? Aaron, who says you're too old to be a diocesan priest? That's not true in all dioceses! From the start of the show, I kept thinking, "This man needs to be a priest. Why isn't he a priest?" My archdiocese (Baltimore) has had many older seminarians. We have one now who has been a widower for 10 years and has grown children.
