Why does The Kingdom of Quel'Thalas has no king?

The Prince Kael'Thas Sunstrider was the heir to the throne of Quel'Thalas. He could not assume his role as king, after his father was murder by Arthas, because he refused to do so until he had achieved his goal of bringing greatness back to his kingdom and people. He left for Outlands alongside Illidan, looking for a source of power to restore the magical powers of his people, but he got corrupted by Kil'Jaeden, turned even on his alliade Illidan, and was murdered in Tempest Keep, living the throne of Silvermoon vacant and ending his royal bloodline. Lor'Themar did not want to take the tittle of king afterwards, probably because the events that transpired in Tempest Keep.
