Love what you said! Everybody has always something to suggestions, like they’re all genius. I thought about that too but i also thought you thought that before me soooo i believe people shouldn’t ask that really private questions if those doesn’t come out from you. Anyway if could be interesting as i already said i do para athletics and i have a friend who had a bigger leg when he was little and he had the desire of amputate it (not sure about his condition although) because he could’t do nothing. Well now he’s 20, he has a above the knee prostethic and with his blade is able to do 6m long jump. If you want to see more, we have (both me and him) our world champs on 7-15 November. So take a look if you’re interested on see your potential but never give up for any reason also if you don’t. Good luck with everything!

Hey dude, thanks for your comment... don’t feel like you can’t asked questions, this is what my KZbin is all about... staring a conversation. So if you got anything you wanna ask, go for it! That’s quite interesting, I might actually see if I can swing by if it doesn’t conflict with any completions! Thanks

Great video Oliver, I have had similar appointments with consultants when I was younger, I think sometimes they over play the risk because they just don't understand how best to operate or know how to manage the risk. Much older now I often think did I make the right decision not to have more operations to correct my Cerebral Palsy. On the whole I think I did make the right choice not too. Not sure how much better my life would be. I understand my disability is apart of me so to change it, would change who I am and what makes me have the same outlook on life when I told I can’t do stuff, just makes me want it even more.. The constant pain is the only thing I would like to get rid off but keeping myself active I forget about it most of the time

Thank you so much for sharing this. One question - I hope you don’t mind… is it really fifty fifty? Is it his opinion or fact? And if so: maybe it has changed now days so it won’t be so risky? If you at one point in life has so much pain you feel like an amputation is something you want to do? I don’t know how you feel today? Kindest regards from Sweden

Unless you can straighten your knee, you might consider an AK amputation. You won't be able to use a BK prosthesis if you can't use your knee. Just a thought as I've been a BK amputee for 15 years.

Thats right, we were also thinking of through knee!

Hi Oliver! I'm sorry I've not commented in a while, but I've been around :) I never thought of the idea that your condition could cause such a severe risk with an amputation, but i guess it makes a lot of sense. Just out of interest, with having a secondary vascular system in your leg, does that also mean you have more blood than those without it, or just the same amount spread across more veins, if you don't mind my asking? I hope you have been well :) look after yourself!

Hey Eloise! Good to have you back! Yeh it’s an interesting one... I’m not sure as I figure my body mass is the same as others but maybe slightly more due to there being less muscle and more vein! That’s something I’ve never really thought about... However thinking about it now, my leg does fill up with a lot of blood when I don’t wear my compression stocking, and it gets huge , so maybe I do! Thanks! Yes and you

First, you should not amputate your leg; there are professionals for these sort of things. Second, those odds of making it off the table suck. Prooobably worth holding off on that until they don't give you an equal chance of bleeding you dry.

Agreed! I feel like I still have to leave my mark on this world before I kick it!
