Why Dragon Magia Master should never come to the TCG

That card is too broken for us, it's probably getting banned if Konami brings it to us

Unfortunately a 4 card combo isn’t going to make a splash even if it ends on what’s potentially 3 conditional negates (though realistically it might as well be 2) Other decks can put out more interaction with fewer cards more consistently

I hope you know that Dragon Magia Master is literally the cover card for Battles of Legend: Terminal Revenge, coming to TCG in June. It’s nowhere near the power level of meta decks, either. It’s just a good support card for anime decks like Blue Eyes and Black Luster Soldier that are struggling to keep up with new releases.

@@Official_24YEETMANwanna know something cool? If Magia leaves the field you can summon Maxx Magician and tribute it to lock your opponent out of monster effects that turn. So it means even if you’re opponent immediately outs it with a Kaiju or something, you still have some devastating levels of stun.

@@tomahawk2039nope. Magia special summons straight from the deck and max magician doesn’t specify it has to be properly ritual summoned. Now, you wouldn’t be able to revive max magician with a monster reborn cuz it wasn’t properly ritualled, but that doesn’t prevent you from tributing the max magician to get its effect off. Honestly, this makes Magia such a disappointing card. If it had been say, a HERO, Branded, or Tearalemnt card it DEFINITELY see some level of play, maybe even high tournament level success but the problem is that it’s in the blue eyes/dark magician archetype. They’re not fusion decks

Yeah, sorry but Magia isn’t going to make that big a splash with the level of support they have. It’s just too convoluted to summon. The materials are too specific and costly. Don’t get me wrong, Magia on its own is powerful, but you’d have to run a dedicated deck to summon it consistently and d magician and blue eyes don’t have that level of fusion spam. Hate to say that cuz I would LOVE to run Magia in a semi-competitive deck.

Could of had an end board of Magia + Spirit dragon or Magia + SP. even with potential upside of 3 negates you need more of a board presence
