Gary- no disrespect but you seem not to understand the rule of verticality. A defender can legally leave his feet and jump straight up. I understand your point in that the defender may have been moving forward in that he wasn't maintaining his horizontal position. But just know that just because a guy leaves his feet, it doesn't automatically make it a defensive foul.
