@@monkedturtle8533okay but like Ego was an x world’s best who was completely forgotten and is built like a Giraffe with that neck turned into a world class coach. Nothing is known about his playstyle besides the fact it was implied to be insanely egotistical and obviously very good.

Ego jinpachi is like Isagi yoichi. Both having the most indescribable feeling after scoring/winning (probably) and Isagi having the mindset to do what it takes and winning being his only goal. With this conviction he slowly surpasses everyone even tho there are more talented people or stronger people. Hes the only one who truly knows what it takes to win/enjoys it

In the light novel. Its confirmed that Isagi wasnt suppose to be recommended to be in blue lock. but ego made an exception and specifically chose Isagi even though he wasnt suppse to be in it.

My theory: Isagi was chosen because he acts as a catalyst for the evolution of players. He evolved Chigiri, Kaiser, Rin, Barou, and many more. Football, in the end, however egoistic you are, is a team game, and 11 players are necessary. People may say that other players could work as catalysts too, right? Well, no, because if we see Barou, he acted as a king of the field, giving zero creativity to the other players. Rin arguably puts people to use and give them shine but he controls their thinking, giving them zero creativity too. Other players like Shidou are all "I don't care about others, I'm going to do my own thing," which is egoistic but not practical in football. Ego needed a person who would make the entire team evolve to crush him but the person to rise back up and help them evolve more, which is Isagi. What Ego wants is a team that constantly grows and doesn’t stop and always remains number one. He wants a team that is creative and has chemical reactions with each other, and also a team that isn’t afraid to lose but has a hunger for winning. He wants the team to be skilled in every aspect possible and creative enough to go against the best players and still win, which is why he chose Isagi.

@@longestname7238 but Niko is probably better because he unlocked it at such a high level instinctively unlike Isagi who had to study it from scratch. Niko have a natural talent for it.

I don't think Ego "chose" Isagi and I don't even like the idea of it, I do agree that Ego after the first selection saw a little bit of him in Isagi and now has an eye on him at all times yes, but isagi before blue lock was literally a nobody no one heard of him never did anything to stand out and he didn't even discover his spatial awareness yet, plus with players like Nagi, Barou, Rin, Shindo etc etc there is no way Ego saw ep 1 Isagi (before blue lock) and thought he's gonna be better than them

In the light novel he specifically chose Isagi to come to the facility. Isagi wasn’t supposed to be in it, but ego made an exception for him, so yes, he did choose Isagi

Ego was literally the one who chose Isagi to come to the Blue Lock project even though Anri and others disagreed since they saw him as an average player. We know Isagi was a monster from the very beginning since he had the egoist eyes not even thinking about passing to his team.

Bro i think it was confirmed he choose isagi cus i forgot but in the team Y vs team Z ego said something like this " the best player in the world ( or blue lock its just i forgot ) is the one who dominates this blue frenzy " it might be refering to someone else but 90% it is isagi cuz when he said that the camera showed isagi with his black ego eyes

in blue lock there are only building 5 from v-z but why we cant see rin and many other character in the first selection?

Theres literally many buildings and facilities? There were 5 teams consisting of VWXYZ in every facility. All buildings were named Building 5 to trick people into thinking there were 200+ people better than them. For example if the number 1 player in each building was ranked, they'd be ranked the same as the other number 1 players in the different buildings.
