Southgate's lack of tactical ability will be England's downfall. Even last night, England's dominance against Serbia was because Serbia sat back. Once Serbia started to play England looked lost. Southgate has no courage.
@mikedillon33057 ай бұрын
He's afraid to lose!! His decision to take Shaw looks like a huge mistake and exposes the left needlessly when options (not as good but you need a left footer playing the left back bomber role) were available. Foden is consequently exposed and has been harshly singled out in a team that retreated, as a team entire, when Kane was equally if not more so ineffective. Quarter finals will be as far as this team goes IF Southgate ploughs his usual furrow. And, as good as Rice is, he is NO RODRI, and teams with a patient style of play, with technical players that love the ball, will get through them to a very shaky backline

This team Is struggling with injuries, if you can't play your best 11, before a major tournament, even if it is a friendly, ""you have to look at what type of friendly it is"", it's not called a warm-up game for nothing. Look, football is weird, I might eat my own words tonight. In the grand scheme of things. Jude is a brilliant player, but not even he can carry a team, wouldn't it be amazing though. Big fan of the show. Gonna pass on this particular episode. We shouldn't normalise criminals or give them a platform. Gary in particular should be morally consistent, especially when Qatar where publically shamed on TV by Gary + BBC for there laws. So the idea Gary should be doing a podcast with a war criminal whose responsible for over 1 million deaths, with blood on his hands is rather dissapointing. This for sure wasn't Micah Richards or Alan Shearers guest. I understand they are part of the same 'The rest' podcast network & also know each other personally, having gone to the same school. Also the fact Alastair campbell was there for Gary Linekar and defended him in public when they tried to cancel him. But being morally consistent is hard, but if your not gonna do that then you shouldn't then shame a country in there biggest ever moment to make a political statement. Its not like Gary & Alastair Campbell gained a good relationship post Qatar World cup. They likely knew eachother long before them having been at the same school. Gary called out sports washing, but is doing sports washing with this particular episode.
