WHY ESP32 is EVERYWHERE?

Hi all, this is a video about ESP32. In particular why is it so famous around hobbysts? Even arduino itself has implemented an ESP32 in some boards to make it wifi-compatible and it is really difficult to find a real substitute of ESP32. Do you use ESP32? I struggled long time, which MCU to take for my first projects and ended up with STM32 which comes with its own advanced IDE based on eclipse, which is really sound 🤯 I want to add that this is a professional tool for engineers actually, experience in electronics and c programming is recommended.

@@fano72 Was your first MCU? I mean, you started with STM32?

@@BurningElectronics Well yes, it's my first real microcontroller project. I have experience in developing C(++) and ASM and wanted to bring my Java Synthesizer to a bare bone microcontroller. I found that STM makes good tools and comprehensive documentation, as well as powerful and affordable MCUs like found in the black pill board. Do you know it?

Yeah I know it, not that deep but I know for sure. And yes, STM is obviusly a good brand, I don't play as much with their MCU tho
