Tha fad is over. Those that wanted them, have them now. The markets full. It is a throw away vehicle. My truck is 20 years old no payment for 16 years. It has 430,000+ miles and the engine a trany are completely origanal. It'll last another 10 years and 200,000 miles. Any EV won't do a 4th of this This has allowed me to become dept free and wealthy. I don't care if I don't look it. These vehicles are a waste of wealth. Your being ripped off. Some of you with payment, insurance, registration pay $1, 500+ a month. I pay $1,200 a year. Invest in something else not a chunk of steel and plastic that will depreciate faster then an egg salad on a hot summer day.

The gas station-convenience store business works because owners make a few cents a gallon profit on gasoline sales but more so on people coming in for soda, snacks, etc. and the turnover is high. People are in and out in 10 minutes. There is no equivalent model for EV charging. Public charging stations are located in some backwater parking lot where people linger for up to an hour to charge their vehicle. Just not appealing to the general public.

Well mate you mention the insurance and I have said for a long time now how long before the insurance companies latch onto those who own an EV and park them at their home dwelling place. How long before those companies realise the fact that these wretched vehicles can cause a tremendous amount of damage not just to the vehicle itself but the garage, carport, or even next to the house while the EV is on charge or has some form of defect that causes the vehicle to burst into a conflagration that is far worse than an "ordinary" fire?? I reckon the clock is ticking on the premiums rising when owning an EV that is kept at the owners home.

If you took just 2 seconds to do some research before making such statements, you’d find through numerous sources that electric vehicle fires are so rare that statistics show internal combustion engine (ICE) cars are 20 to 80 times more likely to catch fire compared to EVs.

EVs and hydrogen without infrastructure are junk. Hybrids are the best short term answer until batteries and infrastructure catch up.The Steam engine went extinct in the 40s and diesel electric locomotives have been their replacement since them. Diesel electric IS a hybrid !!! Today, Edison Motors has a succesful hybrid logging truck that beats the Tesla in both power and fuel economy and most importantly, and it is lighter than the standard trans truck NRA. No range anxiety. Get it straight .. The infrastructure TODAY CAN NOT support EVs or hydrogen but hybrids can and are doing it with no infrastructure change with BETTER FUEL ECONOMY WITH PROVEN TECHNOLOGY

When I read all these negative comments about EV’s, I wonder how much research these people do? The comments about the Chevrolet Bolt catching fire was resolved long ago. Besides it was less than twenty that caught fire worldwide, and that was paid for by LG. The reason Ford can’t survive in the market is because the only EV they have is the Mustang that starts around 45k. I think people that write about EV’s should talk more to people that have them.

New combustion tech will be: 150 MPG HWY 240 MPG City 200 MPG average 300k mile warranty, 900k life 30,000 $ 3k mile range on 20 gal, 9k on 60. 300 HP continuous, 900 HP peak 30 times less energy $ 3 redundant engines 0 loss in range hot/cold. 60% EV weight. It also captures CO2 and water which can put out any fire. Use Ethanol fuel and near zero fire risks. Fuel making OFF grid via solar thermal and nuclear will be 20 to 30 times less costs (3 cents/kwh) than a 100% RE grid (60 cent/kwh house, 90 at super charger) charging an EV. 20 to 30 times! Game over folks. LOL. EVs are 100% obsolete due to this fuel making issue alone. Fuel making for old ICE cars works also. They just use 4-5 times more fuel, but that fuel is 100 times less CO2 than gasoline. CO2 for EV is 600 gCO2/kwh. 300 for battery and 300 for 100% RE grid. Gasoline is 300...LOL. New combustion is 3 gCO2/kwh for fuel and 4 at the wheel. Old ICE is 20. Do the math. 600/4=150 times less. 600/20 = 30 times less CO2. EVs cannot lower CO2. Combustion with Electro fuel can. 30 to 150 times less CO2. There is NO POINT TO AN EV IF CO2 is the issue. NONE.

Crashing because, the vehicle industry & other industries are STILL doing it wrong, in SO many ways!! Industry is still focused on top-down, trickle-down. Still over-using resources with no end in sight, trashing environments to do it. Still optimizing OBSCENE levels of Planned Obsolescence. Still focused on relatively old tech. Still forcing hydrogen & other options out of the market. Still pushing so,unions before figuring out how to achieve the mandates.
