I agree. This is your OG Networking book! The technologies may be old, but the concepts are still applicable.

Mr. Lightfoot, I have been following your channel since approximately 2014. I have worked in IT in various positions throughout the years. I agree with you on your recommendation of the Network Warrior book. I am writing to ask when will you publish a book on networking? I know you have at least three good books in you based on your experiences in the industry. Thank you for starting your channel and sharing the knowledge.

This sounds legit. I been looking into Network Engineering and while I been getting all the technical terms thrown at me I still didn’t feel like I have that “why”. This just what I been looking for. I’ll give it a shot.

The why is very important.

🔥🔥🔥 convinced me within the first minute. What would you recommend for hands on experience if you’re not a network tech? I work as at a help desk but never get hands on networking experience. I want to work my way into a sys admin or network engineer.

Thank you for the info in this video fam! You told me to get this book a year ago and I picked it up. It's a great book and has helped me understand the many parts to being a network engineer for sure. You are so right about it being important to know why you are implementing a technology. Like I've always gone about troubleshooting, Understand what the problem is and why you are implementing a protocol or certain technology to that problem! This book is a must have! Peace&Blessings.
