I switched to the DJI Action 4 and haven't looked back. They are superior to the GoPro's IMO. No more overheating, shutting down for no reason, having to do a hard reset to make it film again. Life is good.

Ive never had a issue with any of my gopros, what i have seen is people using cards that are too slow which causes crashes, and freezing same as with any device with bad memory. I would get a x3 but it wouldnt fully replace a gopro, the quality isnt the same... x3 is for people who film themselves gopro is for making videos of others/scenes

Scratched lens that can’t be replaced is the exact reason I stopped using the Max Lens mod. I’ll stick with my GoPro for now, but great video man.

Yeah I guess scratched lenses is just part of the game for us… just wish they would put more of an emphasis on making a form-factor that wouldn’t be so prone to scratches…

I've never really had an issue with battery life on my Hero 9. That said, my goal is to never have a video go longer than 10 minutes. My issues have always occurred when temps are close to 0 Celsius. The camera just shuts down when it's cold out. How does the Insta 360 handle the cold?

The little white one is only one lens just like the GoPro so aiming it properly is very important.

The only 1 thing I don't like about the new camera is that the edges in your videos are so extremely warped to the point that they becomes dizzy. Also, my GoPro tends to overheat super easily and just shuts off. Other than that, video and sound quality are on par with each other.

Yeah I’ve been experimenting with the amount of warp and framing the picture properly… It’s so versatile. Just gotta have the right settings.

Everybody ditching Gopro? Everyone I see on the trails is using a GoPro. I have yet to see an Insta360 on the trail. If image quality is the most important to you, then the GoPro wins hands down. Intsa360 shoots in 5.7k, but that 5.7k is used for all 360 degrees. So any 5.7K 360 footage is still only 1080p when cropping to flat formats a.k.a reframing. Switching to single lens mode gets you 4k, but now you only get 30fps and it's not a true 4k image. It's just an upscaled 4k image and it looks very bad. The GoPros dynamic range is also WAY better compared to the Intsa360. Insta360 battery life is 81 minutes at 5.7k30. GoPro is 95 minutes at 5.3K30 and over 155 minutes at 1080p30, all with HyperSmooth 6.0 video stabilization on. So Gopro wins again. The 2 lenses on Insta360 scratch very easy. Yes, you can get the covers, but those scratch even easier. Also the lens covers don't have a perfect seal, so dust always gets inside, and they fog up in humid conditions. The Insta is just to big a bulky and difficult to mount to helmet or body compared to a GoPro. With all that said, if you want 360 videos, then the Insta360 is the best way to capture it and it beats the GoPro Max. Now, I know you mentioned everything above, but it just confuses me why you decided to stop using the GoPro when it seems to be the better option for your stated needs. Not to mention you can't even shoot 360 video on your Intsa360 because of the scratched lens. As always, sick riding and I love your videos brother.
