EOD owner since 2017 A few things you left out of the video. The fact that they reworded the verbiage used on the edge of darkness addition removing “unique” and the fact they changed the sequence about all future dlc. It previously stated that we were “all in” now it simply talks about arena and scav life. Number two: the unheard of addition has so much pay to win in it. There is an item you can use to call people from your friends list into the match when you’re losing or to clean up and grab more loot (easily abused) You start off with such a massive skill set. You start off with loot, ammo and junk boxes which all takes weeks to get in a new wipe. Number three:eod owners don’t get the pve content until AFTER the game releases which will be who knows when. I’ve upgraded to the uninstalled addition. I finally escaped from tarkov….. Currently game less, looking for a new adventure. Thank you for your time

I recommend everyone with VR gets ghosts of tabor. It’s a VR tarkov clone. I once went in without a gun on accident. Found a sks on a corpse behind a van and I immediately saw a bulley skip off the pavement beside me. This gave me a relative idea of where the shooter was. I immediately scanned the area as he shot until I found him. Then we got into a firefight. He was in the third story of a building I fired 60 rounds he fired about a hundred it was such a breathe of fresh air. You get so into the fights

Been there, done all that. All it took is me trying radar hacks for 1 single wipe to notice how many other people cheat. Just install radar and observe. The frequency that players magically take a wide berth past a 100% silent team, or make a beeline to that one stash with a GPU, is simply astounding. I'm done playing this piece of crap game online. And BSG knows that a lot of their customers are the same way. No way guys like me are coming back unless it's a single player experience with full progression. That's why they took the chance to charge such a large sum of money. They KNOW that a large portion of their player base wants nothing more than to play this game *by themselves*

The funny thing is that the all the add ons you get in the unheard edition don't give you a better advantage in pvp fights the only thing you could consider to be pay to win is the extra starting weapons you get except that you only get 2 extra staring guns and if you die that advantage gets given to someone else very fats, the scan radio basically works against you if you mess up and agro and kill a scam, but at the point when you'll reach the requirements to use it you already won't be activating agro on scams unless you want to, and the skull increase only increase 5 skills 3 of which don't apply to combat, and the other 2 are for increasing your reload speed for pistols and bolt action rifles, but it only increases the speeds by around 0.20-0.40 seconds, so very hard to notice

No, it must be online like MMO type of game. First of all, players can duplicate items very easilly if they can play it in local. Tarkov has its own economy(absolutelly cheaters exist though). It ruins tarkov economy. This is the reason why you can't sell items you accuire in PvE to PvP. Second of all, it's too much load to make a raid world for usual players. We join the world that is created by servers that BFG provides. Yes, theoritically it's possible that someone can create the world and make them to connect to it. But as you realize there're many issues like security, performance, or license. That's one of the reason why devs need money constantly because they keep super big servers 24/7/365. And that's the reason why many MMO RPG demands subscription fee.

They did a mistake, they panic because they don't know how to get money to keep the server going and pay the other devs. Now at the moment i'm writing this, they apologized and gave all what we deserve ( i already got my PVE access as a EoD which was frkn fast much faster than Arena i'm surprised ) People are just crying, saying Grayzone will be the Tarkov replacement but let's be honest for a sec. No game will be like tarkov, and people will reinstall it at some point. The drama just benefits BSG, they got money from the unheard edition, they can now announce the big SCAV update coming soon which was very needed and pay the PVE servers ( + a lot of non-tarkov player heard about the game because of this drama )

What’s crazy is I actually quit months after the original early access release. It’s quite amazing how far the game has come in design. I don’t know how many folks they have making the game, but from everything I’ve seen they definitely haven’t been robbing us blind, they’re working on the game, spaghetti code and all. Star Citizen has already shown exactly how far you can take monetization for early access, it’s quite appalling, and many many people defend it to the death. I’d probably give BSG $1000 before I spent a dime on Star Citizen. I did spend $50 to upgrade to the Unheard edition after coming back and spending about 60 hours in PVE and Arena. They’re making something special, and while I don’t whole heartedly agree with the pricing, this game has had an absurd amount of work put in, and I’ve seen people poor and rich waste money on many worse things. If people didn’t want to support the game, they wouldn’t pay for it. The game is perfectly playable without buying bigger editions, and getting outraged about it doesn’t change the fact that people want to give BSG money for the development of the game, and they do deserve something for forking out the big bucks. It’s a product.

They lied to me as an EoD buyer. Also, I purchased a 2nd EoD for a friend (so we could co-op) but accidentally bought Russian. They did not let me exchange my key, and I cannot give it away because if it is abused I can be banned. Keys are free for them to generate and easily verifiable if they are used or not. They could have assisted me and chose not to. Instead they pocketed my money and gave me a middle finger twice expecting me to pay for a third copy. They owe us any future updates and features to Tarkov as part of our offering included with EoD.

I quit because I made it to level 40 something in one wipe. I lost all my progress and felt no need to do it again. Tarkov is good, but not very fun. I can't play it every day for 4-8 hours. I have a life. I hate completing a raid, dying in the first 3 minutes, only to get ZERO xp and lose all my stuff. Rinse and repeat and be back in another raid in 20 minutes, rinse and repeat for 2 hours. Yeah, totally a great experience....

I never understood why Tarkov players were so hyped about the wipes and new traders. Long-term wipes are killing the game because it's a chore having to do the same quests for the 3rd time. Tbh, the best thing to happen would be a solid studio just copying eft as much as possible. Make it a 1:1 replica in terms of gameplay, add a few different guns for more variety, add more attachments to attract people, implement the hideout stronger and give more options in it and create new maps or an open world. And then add cosmetics to generate continuos cashflow. As soon as another „tarkov“ comes out, that replicates the intensity and feeling of the original with a trustworthy company backing it and a community management that actually listens, BSG dies

I bought EOD because I thought it was a worth game to support. A solid indie dev working on an incredible idea that would be difficult for a AAA dev to create and see come to fruition. The bonuses for that edition seemed worth it as was the financial support. But seeing them backtrack on promises made 8 years ago to make up for lost time and money wasted on the Arena game that bombed is both despicable and probably the most scumbag thing I've ever seen a dev do. And, I'm pretty sure that level of false advertising is illegal in most countries. This really breaks my heart. I was truly looking forward to a PvE mode with progression. I would've bought my entire friend group a copy of it to play with me. Now? I don't even wanna hear the name BSG anymore. Not until they make good on their products and earn that respect back with the playerbase.

I never played Escape From Tarkov. I only played SPT and the most fun I've ever had was sitting in the menus and customizing my weapons. The issue is that the game felt incomplete, and then I reminded myself that the game serving as SPT's source material had been in beta for more than six years. BSG are just lazy devs who have no respect for their playerbase's patience or wallets. With the colossal backlash they've received after the announcement of the Unheard Edition, I don't think a full release of Tarkov will ever be on the horizon. They scammed their most loyal players who purchased Edge Of Darkness by removing EOD from the store and claiming that the Unheard Edition isn't DLC. BSG will likely just run off with the money and abandon their game and players.

That so called "server capacity" had never been sufficient in the last 7 years - i lost count of how many times i had been disconnected suddenly in the middle of a raid and when i complain about it scolded ruthlessly both by the developers (always my isp's fault!) and the toxic playerbase on the "troubleshooting" forums. The unequaled realism and attention to detail they brought to the game world are shadowed by their greedy, ignorant and elitist attitude. 250 USD for a beta. Way to go BSG!

Seems to be common theme amongst a lot of game companies. Not as bad as Gaijin though (yet) Gaijin, Wargamming, BSG.. all seem to have the same "respect" for their players. At least it's not as bad as Warthunder (yet) some people pay US$2000 for a pixel rendering of a single vehicle that can only be used in limited "tiers" in one part of the so-called "free to play" game (ground). Most of ths vehicle "packs" you can buy cost more than most full games on Steam. The vehicle can be nerfed, "re-balanced", have it's battle rating changed, any of it's stats reworked at any time, without any discussion. Plenty of people will pay the $$$$, always have, always will.

EOD since 2021, but I had played it a lil before that too. TBH I got out of tarkov as all this drama was happening, but mainly cuz life happened lol. But it’s honestly terrible to see like such an amazing game just ruined by some greedy developers. I had planned to do kappa next wipe but damn I really don’t wanna support this anymore lol. If anyone can I’m looking just for some shooter recommendations that’ll kinda quench the thirst with tarkov but just more fun and casual

I bought the EOD since the beginning. It was great marketing of alpha testing, like a privilege, and the game barely worked. It was pre-alpha, not alpha. The dev was a cheat since the beginning. Until this day, every patch introduces a bunch of other problems. It is a purely waste of time and money for gamers who supported the devs. It was more pain than fun...

I don’t think it’s tarkov over, some players enjoy gray zone but after some time they will be back due tarkov is still the only hardcore realistic shooter

I reinstalled once they gave the EOD owners PvE.. I don't have enough time do dedicate to the game to play through a wipe.. PvE has been a blast

i got my EOD pve access already, cause im a 2016 alpha player? its kinda bs, cause my friend hasnt got his. dont give me wrong, im kinda god at PVP the reason everyone wants to play coop with friends is because we can avoid cheaters

Hey, I'm sorry if I add my two cents now. but hasn't that changed since then? From what I've heard, EVERYONE should now get the PVE mode for free. And because it hasn't been released yet, do I have to mention Star Citizen? The game has also been in development for so many years and the packages cost a lot more... (I think the most expensive was 1000 euros.) and the game is still MUCH further away from being perfect. yes EFT made a huge mistake. but they have already tried here and there to limit the damage. :/

Breakout arena is going to come out shortly and its free, all features are free and you can buy skins and loot with money but it doesn’t give you a huge advantage.

i had no idea abouty any of this, i always saw a few people i know on discord playing tarcov so i finaly decided to give it a try, bought the arena thinking that was the cheapest option of the game then finally figured out the actual base game is 50 got that then told a friend who doesnt play i got the game then he told me some bad news about cheaters or something, then i watched this and now im regretting my purchase, but surprise they dont issue refunds so i just dumped 85 into a game thats got less respect than your run of the mill politician

this should be a nonissue. players really shouldnt be buying these 150-250 dollar collection editions either way. the fact that anyone is buying them in the first place is what leads to problems like this. its another stepping stone in normalizing greedy bad game making.
